this book is very confusing...how can someone have two mates??? She has to reject the first mate in order to find her fated second mate!

the book is confusing so far one moment she knows who her mate is then she is getting a second chance mate even before she can feel the bond and the second chance mate is way better then the first but she is still presuming this first chance mate like WHAT
