I know all the emotional angst is what makes the story but I'm struggling to understand why he even married her. her marriage is only 2 years and they appear to have no emotional connection from the start so why bother?

I like this book but this part is a little drawn out I'm sure she has feelings and they need to be heard but she also needs strength to keep going

It about a woman who's husband though the mistress was smarter than his wife. Little did he know how wrong he was until he saw her if a different light and doing better without him
