Margo Sutter runs the sound booth at Ridgemont High because it's the one place nobody looks at her twice. Then Wilhelmina Prescott, student council president and the school's golden girl, disappears on prom night, and an anonymous podcast starts airing the council's dirty laundry, one episode at a time. Margo is only supposed to recover a corrupted backup file. Instead she finds a recording nobody was supposed to hear, and the voice on it isn't Wilhelmina's. It's her own, saying things she has no memory of ever saying. The only person willing to help her figure out why is Emory Doyle, the boy everyone warned her about. He might be the one answer she needs. He might also be the reason she's on that tape at all.
