“You don’t get it, do you?” he growled, pressing me against the wall like prey. His hand braced beside my head, the other gripping my hip, as he pulled me closer. “I’m not the man you’re supposed to want, Sofia. I’ll ruin you.”
I inhaled his scent, “Then ruin me.”
His jaw clenched, and for a second, I thought he’d walk away. Instead, his lips brushed my neck, his breath searing. “You’ll burn for this. For me.”
“I already am,” I murmured, clinging to his shirt like it was the only thing keeping me from falling apart.
