you switch from third to first person point of view constantly. You also keep quoting things that people aren’t actually saying. “With a chuckle he commented,” is not something you put quotations around. You’re writing is very poor. I can see this in the first page. This story needs a LOT of work.

1q2w so far I like the story. it’s so cruel what Spare’s family does to her. She’s treated like the black sheep or the unwanted child all because her mother didn’t want 2 kids. I’m so glad new mate took her away and I hope they develop a close and loving relationship where Spare feels loved and wanted.
