I can't believe this is happening to me. I have lived through actual Hell but I didn't think it would be that bad when I filed for divorce. When I got home around noon on Friday from my nerve-wracking trip to the courthouse, little did I know that my abusive husband, Shane, was already lying in wait for me. Talk about life as a living Hell, no wait, this was worse!

Finally, I thought I was going to get a break when the spy rushed into the house. It was none other than his treacherous older sister as she yelled, "The cops are coming!" He was even more furious at that point. "If I'm going to go, then I should go out in style!" Shane said as he kicked me in the face, breaking my nose all before the cops rushed upon him, taking him away.

I later woke up in the hospital, not at all sure as to my surroundings. Did Shane actually get arrested? I was having a hard time remembering what happened the night before. I needed to get out of there. It took some convincing but I finally managed to get discharged, so I could get to a place I thought I might be safe, back at home, as long as my ex-ass didn't get released.

It took all my strength to stand when I fell right in the path of an oncoming vehicle. Well, this is it, I thought to myself. Life is short and full of pain.

"Are you alright?!" I heard the sexiest voice one could ever hear ask me suddenly as I lay there in the roadway. Talk about love at first sound! "Devon, get the door! We're taking her with us!"
