Chapter 14 Bianca's Death
Death
This was a concept many couldn't fully comprehend, only those who touched on its doors and came back alive would truly realize just how scary it was.
The thought of never coming back, the thought of falling into an endless abyss, that thought made those who truly touch onto its doors either value life even more than before or become obsessed with it.
{Ding! Mission completed! Please evacuate from the quest location and return to the base to receive your rewards!}
"Who sent you?" Raphael couldn't believe his eyes when he finally saw the face of his killer.
A girl who definitely couldn't be older than seventeen with flowing white hair and glowing red eyes stood right before him with a crystal red sword in her hand pierced through his chest all the way to the back.
Bianca didn't bother replying to Raphael's words, she pulled the sword out from his chest with a jerk then kicked him backwards with such force that flung him against the cabin and broke his bones apart.
Bianca took a step forward, the sword in her hand dissolved then rearranged into a long, thin line that slashed across his head.
{Mission Status: Completed (Target Successfully killed)}
{Please evacuate from the current location and return to base to receive your reward!}
"Shut up." Bianca muttered in annoyance, the constant system notifications only stemmed to increase her irritation and anger even further.
{Orders not received, please rephrase!}
Ignoring the system she retracted her energy then slowly stepped away from the cabin, her footsteps echoing lightly across the platform.
"An intruder, this seems interesting." A voice called out from the doorway, alerting Bianca who's eyes narrowed in shock.
'I didn't notice him, how is that even possible?' confident in her senses she didn't even bother checking properly as she believed she could detect anyone who tried to come close to her.
"I was supposed to kill him but you did the job for me. Clean, neat and precise, you took him out with a single swing but unfortunately I can't let a kid as dangerous as you get away, who knows what would become of you in a few years time?" He then raised his right arm which held a remote with nothing but a single black button on its surface.
"Yo--" The moment Bianca tried to move her body and run her body froze stiff, her mind grew dull and her thought process slowed down to a crawl, the only thing still functioning at a normal rate were her eyes which could see the man with incredible accuracy.
"Goodbye little fella." He said with a wave then pressed the button.
Boooooooommmm!!!!
A loud explosion erupted as the cabin erupted in flames, pieces and splitters of wood were blown into the air, crushed into bits.
{Ding! Warning! Host is in a critical state!}
{Requesting for urgent backup deployment from the main base}
'Yeah, that's right.' Bianca thought, her body parts were blown around, scorched beyond measure and she could only lay on her back, staring at the skies for hours.
'What do I live for? What is my purpose? Why am I alive?'
{Beep! Host's health status entering critical levels!}
'Shut up, I want to sleep, I deserve a period of rest don't I?'
For the past year she had gone travelling, completing several missions assigned by Williams, those missions and training shaped her into what she currently was, a seventeen year old cold blooded killer.

'Shut up, that's enough. I'm not even crying now am I?' she thought despite the tiny drop of tears beside her eyes.
'I've killed so many therefore I also deserve to die, but if I die will anything change? They'll still continue with the research, I'm not the only one there.' Her head throbbed with pain, the burns and pains from her torn limb burnt her rationality away as time passed but she didn't scream out in pain, not even once.
'I have to get up, I can't die here, I can't just cease to exist this way.' She thought, but despite her thoughts she couldn't even move or lift a muscle, the only plausible action at that moment was to just give up but Bianca didn't wish to die that way.
'But. There's nothing I can do to change this.' she thought, moments afterwards her eyes closed shut, then everything went dark.

"Did you hear?"
"Hear what? Looks like you have some interesting gossip to deliver, tell me!"
"Raphael the trader who lives nearby was killed yesterday night, his mansion blown up in smithereens and no evidence of whoever did it was found!"
"Raphael the trader is dead? That's impossible! His mansion is ever more secure than this town, if he could get assassinated then even this town isn't safe.
"Are you sure no traces of the killer were found?"
"That's what I heard at least."
"Hpmh, I'm sure they have some clues regarding the killer, disseminating false information to the masses isn't that rare after all."
Anderson who was passing by also heard the murmurs but ignored them, he walked across the streets towards his car then stepped into it and drove away.
He couldn't be less bothered if the famous trader died or not, his death didn't affect him in any way possible hence his attitude.
After arriving at his little cottage at the edge of the town he opened the door of his garage then parked his car after which he walked towards the cottage's doors, walked inside then closed it shut.
He slowly navigated his way to the light switch and turned it on before walking towards the kitchen when he suddenly froze in shock.
'That's a human right?' he thought, turning his head around to see a teen girl lying prone on his sofa with white hair cascading down her face.
