Chapter 5
"No, don't go!"
Isabelle had only said that on purpose earlier, wanting Kane to stop bragging, face reality, and be down-to-earth. She never expected Kane would actually go!
After all, the person who wanted to harvest Winnie's kidney was an incredibly powerful figure!
She reached out to stop him, but Kane had already walked away.
Over half an hour later, Kane appeared with Kevin in front of a villa covering one acre of land.
The sign read: Crimson Manor.
Kane looked at the manor, somehow feeling it looked familiar.
Just then, Kane answered a phone call. "Bayonet, how's the investigation going?"
"Mr. Lockwood, I've investigated everything. The person who wants to harvest Winnie's kidney is indeed Antonio Lucchese, the leader of the Crimson Order."
"Looks like this guy wasn't lying to me."
Kane glanced at Kevin beside him, covered in blood.
Bayonet continued, "Mr. Lockwood, I also found out that Antonio was one of those who conspired with Ophelia back then to murder all thirty-eight members of the Lockwood family and divide up the Lockwood family's assets!"
"I see!"
Kane's pupils contracted, a flash of killing intent crossing his eyes.
He hung up the phone, his gaze falling on Crimson Manor again.
He remembered now.
No wonder Crimson Manor looked familiar—this villa was once a gift from his aunt Arabella to celebrate his college acceptance!
Kane had lost his mother at a young age. Arabella had been very good to him, taking care of him before Ophelia appeared.
Ten years ago, in that massacre, Arabella—only forty-five years old and stunningly beautiful—had also lost her life!
"Back then, you killed my family and plundered the Lockwood family's assets!"
"Today, you want to harvest my daughter's kidney!"
"Now, I'm sending you to meet God!"
Kane clenched his fists, grabbed Kevin, and walked into Crimson Manor.
At that moment, inside Crimson Manor.
Antonio sat on the sofa, obese with heavy dark circles under his eyes and pale lips.
He had just finished dialysis and looked pained. "This disease is too torturous. Why hasn't the kidney source arrived yet?"
"Call Kevin immediately! Tell him to deliver the kidney source within one hour, or I'll throw him in the river to feed the fish!"
"Yes, sir!" A subordinate nearby took out his phone, about to make the call.
"No need!"
Suddenly, a cold shout rang out.
The next moment!
The door crashed open, and a blood-covered figure slammed hard onto the ground, rolling to Antonio's feet.
Antonio looked at the bloody person at his feet, his expression changing slightly. "Kevin?"
He hadn't expected this blood-soaked person to be his own subordinate Kevin!
"Kevin, who did this?" Antonio asked urgently.
Before Kevin could speak, a cold shout came from the doorway. "I did!"
Antonio and the others turned their heads.
A man in ordinary clothes but with an upright posture and extraordinary presence walked in from outside.
It was Kane!
"Mr. Lucchese! This guy's the one who beat me up!"
"He also... he also killed Jalen!"
"He's that little girl's father!"
Antonio had been tormented by kidney disease for a long time. He had finally found a kidney source, but Kane actually wanted to stop him from recovering his health!
No!
Absolutely unacceptable!
"Bastard, you're asking for death!"
Before Antonio finished speaking, over thirty men in black rushed into the room!
The men in black all held military-issue bayonets, emanating an iron-blooded aura—clearly they all had blood on their hands.
"Attack!"
The men in black charged at Kane.
Kane didn't move, waiting until the men in black raised their bayonets and thrust them at his chest.
Then Kane moved.
One kick sent the frontmost man in black flying.
Two minutes later, all thirty-plus men were lying on the ground, clutching broken arms or legs, letting out screams of agony.
This scene shocked Antonio immensely.
Others might not know about these men, but he did—they were all retired special forces or special agents, each battle-hardened.
Yet in two minutes, they were all defeated by the man before him.
Who the hell was this guy?
"You're that Kane from the Lockwood family?"
Antonio began examining Kane seriously, suddenly thinking of something.
"That's right!"
Kane, the genius of the Lockwood family—Antonio had once had the honor of seeing Kane at a banquet, though back then he didn't even have the qualification to speak with Kane!
He hadn't expected to run into Kane here.
And that Winnie was actually Kane's daughter!
Antonio actually relaxed. "I thought you were some big shot, but you're just a rapist fresh out of prison!"
"Don't think that learning a few fighting techniques in prison makes you something special!"
"The Lockwood family is finished!"
"You must really need money right now, right?"
"You personally harvest your daughter's kidney for me, and I'll give you five hundred thousand dollars—no, one million dollars!"
Antonio grinned maliciously.
Making a father personally harvest his own daughter's kidney—how cruel!
Kane's expression remained calm, but inside he was already burning with rage!
He suppressed his anger. "Antonio, can money really let you do whatever you want?"
"That's right, money lets me do whatever I want!"
"I have money, I can do anything I please!"
"I can buy your daughter's life, and I can buy yours too!"
"You pauper can only accept your fate!"
Kane's tone was icy. "Then how much is your life worth? I want to buy your life!"
"You pauper wants to buy my life!"
Antonio seemed to have heard the biggest joke ever, laughing so hard he doubled over. "Ten million dollars then. Can you afford it, you pauper?"
"Ten million dollars? I'll give you one hundred million dollars!"
"Bayonet, prepare one hundred million dollars for me immediately and deliver it to the current Crimson Manor within ten minutes! If you're even one second late, don't blame me for being rude!"
Kane made a phone call.
"Yes, sir!"
"Quickly prepare one hundred million dollars for Mr. Lockwood! Not enough time? Take a helicopter! One second late and I'll chop off your head!"
Bayonet's roaring voice could faintly be heard through the phone.
"You rapist, you really know how to put on an act."
"Forget one hundred million dollars—can you even come up with one hundred dollars?"
Antonio laughed again.
Just then, over a hundred members of the Crimson Order rushed in, surrounding Kane.
They held handguns, radiating killing intent.
But Kane remained composed.
"Nobody move!"
Antonio lit a Cohiba cigar, puffing smoke.
He stared at Kane. "Kane, I'll wait another ten minutes! I want to see how you continue this lie of yours!"
Time passed second by second.
In the blink of an eye, ten minutes had passed.
"Ten minutes are up! Where's your money!"
Antonio laughed loudly, full of mockery.
Kane checked his watch and frowned. "Bayonet really needs to be taught a lesson!"
Antonio pulled out a handgun, released the safety, and aimed it at Kane.
"Kane, stop pretending. Kneel down and beg for mercy right now, personally harvest your daughter's kidney, and crawl over to present it to me. I might spare your pathetic life!"
Kane suddenly raised an eyebrow. "Here it comes!"
Next moment!!
BOOM BOOM BOOM!
Suddenly, a tremendous roar of propellers came from outside.
