I haven't finished the book yet, I'm about half way though, I like the book for the most part but the character development isn't as great as it could be, however there is some development but people's nasty comments through out the book does ruin it for me a little

the lead female character is just grossing me out at this point. her allowing herself to be disrespected over and over is sickening. her is tolerance of sexual assault by the same character over and over is disgusting. making her mate stand by and say nothing is beyond the pail. the “darling” is just super cringe worthy. it’s bad enough on it’s own but the author’s over use of it drastically diminishing the appeal of the ML. FL went from being tolerable to f’ing pathetic. allowing yourself to be abused doesn’t make you a good person….allowing the man you supposedly love to have to tolerate and watch that abuse makes you even worse especially when you belittle when he defends you. gross, gross, GROSS.

One day I'm dealing with cranky toddlers and parents who work too much to actually parent, the next my life is turned upside down and I'm working in a bar for supernaturals. I might not know how to mix drinks, but strangely enough the skills needed to deal with misbehaving children seem to work well enough on vampires, werewolves and even witches. The good news is this job is interesting and hey, my boss might be a demon but I'm pretty sure that under all the grumpy expressions he is a total softie. The bad news is that humans aren't supposed to know about all this magic stuff and so now I'm magically bound to this bar until I can convince them that I won't go telling everyone. Or I die, whichever comes first. Sadly dying is seeming more and more likely because someone is after me. I don't know who or why but they are dangerous and they have magic. So I'll domy best to survive, and if that means spending some extra time with my scary but gorgeous boss then so be it. I'll convince him to trust me if it's the last thing I do.
