Chloe's POV

"Late stage. Six months. Maybe."

Liam went limp in his chair. Face white.

"No... that's impossible... her checkup last month..."

"She hid it." Looked at him. "Didn't want to distract you. Said you were busy with the funding. Didn't want you worried."

Liam's tears wouldn't stop....
