Chapter 5

Maddie's POV

I didn't want to be close to Alessandro not because I hated him or something but because he made me feel -

What was the word?

Hot inside. He made me ache ... down there. The last time he told me to strip, I noticed that my undies were wet.

What could that even mean? If at all it meant something. Maybe I should tell him.

I knew Alessandro wasn't exactly a good man. His tattoo told me a lot. The way people feared him and spoke about him in hushed tones, away from his hearing, told me that I should stay away from him.

But how could I stay away from him when I was his pet.

Just like my current situation where I stood in front of the door, where one of the maids had left me. If only they knew I saw everything clearly.

I was getting tired of pretending since I was in a different environment but what if he was just feeling bad about my condition and becomes worse, like my father, when he finds out that I see?

These thoughts lived rent free in my head, alongside other thoughts.

"Come in" I jerked when I noticed that the guard had knocked on my behalf.

"You probably don't fucking know you've gotten to the door. Blind bitch" He muttered lowly but audible for me to hear.

I glared at him, making his eyes go wide.

"I may be blind but I hear" I told him, rushing into the office before he could say anything else.

When I had shut the door, leaning my back on it, then I realized that I was in Alessandro's space. My heart began to drum harshly in my chest.

"Did he talk to you anyhow?" Alessandro's voice echoed, making me raise my face up. I averted my eyes to his table, unable to hold his sinful gaze. He always looked at me like he was undressing me in his head.

Something he would've done yesterday but couldn't because a call came in.

God bless the caller.

"I despise delay, Maddie" He stood up, walking around his desk.

I stood straight. "He.. he didn't"

"So, I may have heard you wrongly when you said you may be blind but not deaf? Is Don Alessandro deaf?" The way he put his words. Oh my God. His tone was calm but dangerous.

"No, Don." I shook my head. "I didn't hear what he said. I just wanted to.. to let him know"

I didn't want to have issues with anyone on my second day.

He didn't say anything as he walked up to me, his shoe clanking on the pattern designed tiles. He curled his hand around my neck, pulling me forward.

A soft gasp left my lips at the sudden act. His grip wasn't too firm. "I punish people who lie, Raven" He whispered in my ear, his hot breath tingling my earlobe.

"I.. I didn't lie" I stood on my lie. Maybe because a part of me was eager to be punished by him.

"Strike two, Raven. My punishments are not fun" He said in a sing song manner.

"It can't be that worse than what I have received" The words slipped out of my mouth before I could swallow it back.

He softly let go of my neck, his forehead creased in confusion. "What was that?"

"You called for me, Don" I curled my hand into a fist, mad at myself for letting that slip out.

"Ignorant too?" He scoffed. "You're a very stubborn pet, Maddie? I need to teach you how to be obedient." He took me by my hand, roughly dragging me

"Ahh" I squealed, trying to keep up with his pace.

He stopped - not for me though. He whispered something to a guard. Have I told you that guards were scattered everywhere in this house because you just couldn't count them. They were also shuffled because I was seeing new faces that day.

"You asked what being a Mafia entails and what I do, right?" Alessandro walked slowly, no longer pulling me.

And yes, I did ask that.

"Yes"

He halted, glaring at me. I quickly corrected myself. "Yes, Don"

"Strike 3. Expect your punishment sooner or later" He told me, leaving my hands. When he noticed I wasn't following him, he stopped,creasing his eyebrow in confusion.

"I can't see, remember?"

A sly smile spread across his lips. "At least you're conscious."

Conscious?

"I'd get you a stick to help you navigate. Would you want that?" He took my hand.

"I am 80% blind. I see but things are very blurry" I stated.

He smirked at me. "You never seem to impress me, Maddie. Maybe after seeing this with your 80% blindness, you'd be 20% blind"

His words played over and over in my head. That sounded dangerous and didn't make much sense.

When we got to a dark alley I didn't know existed in this house, my heart began to beat loud, my eyes flickering around trying to get a hint or something.

"I have better ways in my head to kill you. Like seeing you choke on my cock, fucking you into oblivion... It's many." Alessandro spoke proudly.

I bit my lips though, fantasizing what his cock would look like in my head.

"But not yet. You need to know what you're being dragged into." He turned to face me. "Open" He said and a door began to roll open, exposing a new world.

As we walked down, screams were heard from God knows where. Screams of terror, pain, anger.

"Don Alessandro, you cruel man!!!" A feminine voice yelled. I couldn't get the cell she was yelling from.

"You work with the police too?" I quietly asked, unsure of how to put my question.

He looked at me in disbelief. "Sweet innocent Maddie." He patted my hair. "Lead her in" His warmth left my skin as he detached our hand.

"Yes, Don" The guard said, holding my forearms lightly. "Move"

"Don't command her" Alessandro frowned at him.

"Sorry, Don. Please move" He corrected himself. I was startled but I'd take it.

When we got into the room, the guard from earlier at the door, was held down to a chair by two hefty men.

"Sit, Raven" Alessandro ordered me, watching me as I crouched down carefully to sit on the chair dragged to the back of my knee.

"This is my world, Raven. It's dark, cruel, monstrous." He opened his arms, turning round. He always talked to me like he knew I could see. "Alessandro Bianchi? Oh, he's a cruel, ruthless, emotionless man."

He didn't look cruel. Dangerous, yes but not cruel.

"Tie his hand" He ordered his guards. I tensed up, looking at him.

"W... why?"

"Wrong question, Raven. It's who?" He held my chin up, staring into my eyes.

"Huh?"

"You're supposed to ask me who I'm tying. You don't see remember?" He titled his head to the side slightly.

Oh shit.

"I still -"

"Nevermind." He let go of my chin. "Let's get this over with"

He crouched down to the guards level, pulling a gun from his back pocket. I hadn't even noticed it was there.

"Tell me what you said to Maddie over there. Remember her?" He pointed at me with the gun.

The guard nodded frantically. "I.. I didn't mean to, Don"

It said a lot when you see a grown up man wriggling in his seat because of a single human.

I gasped loudly when he landed a hard slap across his face. My hand went up to cover my mouth.

"You know how I like my questions being answered." Alessandro had turned into a different person.

His demeanor was cold, rigid. He wasn't smiling and he certainly was looking frightful- it didn't scare me.

The guard apologized first before repeating what he said to me.

"Was that what he said, Raven?" Alessandro asked me, not looking back at me

I was shaken. He turned to me, his eyes dark. "What the fuck did I say about delay?"

"S ..sorry, Don. I didn't - oh no!" I yelled when he landed a slap across his face again.

"You were saying?" He asked again, looking at me.

"I said, I don't know if that's what -" My words died down when he threw a punch at his face. The sound of something cracking was heard.

The guard had begun to bleed from both his nostrils and his busted lips.

"You keep covering him up or whatever, you keep hurting him" Alessandro scoffed. "So what it gonna be, Maddie?"

I looked at the guard who was crying out for me to say the truth please. "I don't - wait! That was what he said. That was what he said okay?" I cried out, my voice loud.

Alessandro smiled at me. "Good girl"

I eyed him in disgust. What was there to smile?

"This is who I am, Raven." He walked back to where I was. "I also never miss my shots"

I turned to give him a confused look. Blind people can give confused look right?

"Like now."
