Chapter 7

Rain fell in sheets the day they held my funeral.

I floated above the cemetery gates, watching the crowd that had gathered.

Angry citizens, reporters with cameras, protesters holding rain-soaked cardboard signs: "Justice for Elena," "The Vance Family Must Pay."

My funeral procession arrived late....
