Chapter 7

　　"Good morning, Naomi, you look really bright today, d'you sleep well?"

　　I nodded frantically, with a huge grin on my face…I'm pretty sure he was weirded out of his mind at how insane I looked just now while nodding

　　"I thought you won't be back today, seeing how you left yesterday really downcast after meeting with the boss", Daniel blurted out, shocked to see Naomi so ecstatic and energetic like a bull on testosterone.

　　"Good morning Daniel, and why would I do that?…this has been my dream job since college, so I'm just very glad to be working as a secretary to the CEO." I just replied with a believable hearty smile.

　　You just wait till I'm done with him,' I muttered to myself still smiling

　　"Okay, I am glad to hear this… love the energy…. but just to put it out there, so you can understand the boss a bit. I've been working with him since he became the CEO. We've been here for two years and I've noticed that he's not exactly okay or settled with having ladies around him, due to the tragic lose of his mother. Just be patient with him and you will be fine"

　　"Thank you Daniel. I'll keep that in mind." I replied while taking down mental notes

　　I too lost my dad or rather he left me, but I don't go around treating men like shit or chasing all the boys away while acting cold and aggressive towards them,'

　　That's no excuse really, there are better ways to handle a loss, and Damon just needs to learn the hard way, maybe losing something valuable will teach him,'

　　I've never been this driven to do something this sinister before, but I'll do it anyway, cause the heck? I was wearing very light natural makeup today, just to accentuate my look and facial features, my outfit was pretty flattering to as it brought out my hourglass figure, I wore a semi short skirt today, it's not skimpy inappropriate short, but just short enough to flaunt my long legs just a bit above my knees, then I topped it off with a long sleeve turtleneck blouse that I tucked into my cute little skirt cause I'm modest like that,' wink, wink

　　And here goes nothing

　　'Good morning Mr. Damon greeted me as I entered into his office after knocking lightly in the door.

　　"Morning miss Steve. These are your co-workers from the sales and finance accounting department, and I want you to work on their records from 2years ago" Damon responded quickly to Naomi's greeting whilst doing a once over at her and noticed something different in her appearance.

　　Why the hell does she look so familiar…he thought

　　and is that makeup on her face? She looked plain yesterday but today she looks a little extra and who knows she'd have such a nice shape under the hideous outfit she wore when we first met. …wait, is she shows off to Daniel? He's clearly puzzled at this point

　　Well, apparently Daniel is quite a catch but I just don't wanna ever see any cuddling around me. I haven't been in a relationship for a long while now and I tend to keep it that way.

　　"Ok sir", I answered when I noticed Mr. grumpy face avoiding my gaze purposefully after our first glance. I may have to intensify my efforts, but there's still a lot of time, so no pressure.

　　"Hi miss Steve" one the two ladies piqued excitedly as we all walked out of the boss' office

　　"Hi, please call me Naomi" i replied with a brilliant smile

　　"It's nice to meet you, I'm Nora and she's Sophie" the lady with the beautiful curly dirty blonde hair chirped as she gestured to the ginger haired friend

　　"Great, so I'll be needing a copy of every of your records from two years ago. I can come with you now to get them" I replied to the ladies as we walked towards the elevator.

　　"That won't be necessary, I will send you a copy after we've sort it out. You don't need to stress about it", Nora replied in return

　　"I heard you resumed yesterday, how's it like working this close to the boss and how is he like?", Sophie asked quickly not being able to hold her excitement in.

　　"Uhm... It's okay and like you said I just resumed, so I don't really know anything about him", I was surprised by her question and chuckled involuntarily.

　　It seems I'm not the only one on a quest to get the boss' attention, but clearly our motives are different.

　　I mean, he is good looking after all, his physique is immaculate and he's incredibly successful, I'm pretty sure everyone wants a piece of him, Naomi soliloquies with a lopsided smile on her face.

　　"Sophie!!" Nora harshly whispers as she scolds her colleague for being so unprofessional "why would you do that?…We are sorry Naomi, don't take this the wrong way, Sophie has been here for just a month and only gets to see the boss when he resumes for work so she was just curious to know about him", Nora offered hoping Naomi didn't get a wrong impression about them.

　　"Oh no, It's fine. I totally get it, we are all ladies come on, I really do understand, it's nothing for to get all worked up about, I won't say anything… I swear", I assured them with a smile not wanting to put them on edge

　　"Thank you very much and I'm sorry for asking such weird questions", Sophie said to Naomi

　　"So, we'll see you around, the company usually holds a welcoming ceremony rather an evening outing when someone new joins the company, so I guess we will get to meet up after work" Nora added

　　"Oh wow and I wasn't told. Are you sure that's gonna happen?"

　　"sure it will, it's more like the company's ritual, we have a get together after a new intake has been assigned a task to do, and I guessing this is your first assignment, so we will surely be holding a gathering tonight", Nora said with a smile while waving Naomi off leaving with Sophie who was equally waving back too.

　　I could only think 'it's gonna be a long ass day for sure'
