Chapter 6: Supreme Mobilization Order
Above the outskirts of London, rain drizzled continuously.
A massive warplane was shooting up into the sky at incredible speed.
Inside the cabin, the atmosphere grew tense.
The command cabin had been temporarily converted into a mobile operating room.
"Daddy... my daddy is back..."
Victor sat beside the medical bed, his gaze fixed on Lily's pale little face.
The child, not yet four years old, was now curled up under a sterile blanket, her delicate eyelashes trembling.
Even in her unconscious state, one small hand still gripped the edge of the blanket tightly, while the other was held firmly by Victor.
Seeing Lily in such pain, Victor felt deeply guilty.
He had promised to spend a happy Christmas with Lily, promised to take her to the Hyde Park Winter Carnival.
But...
Chase walked quietly into the command cabin. Seeing the scene before her, she took a deep breath and lowered her voice.
"Chief, Mrs. Williams's leg bone... the injury is extremely severe."
"The Ross family was absolutely vicious. Not only is it a comminuted fracture, but the ligaments and nerves were deliberately severed."
"Although we've already used the best painkillers, with this kind of injury, at an ordinary medical facility, she'd probably be in a wheelchair for life."
Victor's hand trembled slightly.
He reached out with the hand that had slaughtered countless enemies, wanting to touch Lily's forehead, but froze in mid-air.
"Chase, I don't want 'probably' or 'maybe.'"
"Get Raphael back here immediately, bring the gene recombination serum, and wait for me at The Umbral Covenant's base landing pad."
His voice was ice-cold, carrying unprecedented determination.
If he couldn't heal Elena and Lily, all his power and wealth would be meaningless.
"Listen, if anything happens to Elena and Lily, The Umbral Covenant's medical department won't need to exist anymore."
"Chief! Raphael has received the highest mobilization order and is rushing to headquarters at full speed from the Alps laboratory."
Chase bowed her head, her back already soaked with sweat.
At that moment, Elena on the stretcher slowly opened her eyes.
"Victor..."
Her voice was weak and hoarse, her right hand struggling to find Victor's position.
Victor quickly grasped her hand. The coldness from his palm made Elena shiver slightly.
She thought she was still in that castle...
But when she saw Victor's familiar face, tears rolled in her eyes.
"Victor, you came back... it's good that you're back..."
Elena's smile was strained.
Victor felt terrible. He immediately knelt by the bedside, gripping Elena's hand tightly.
"Don't be afraid, Elena, I'm here. No one can hurt you again."
"No, Victor! Save Lily... they said... they were going to drain all her blood... those lunatics!"
Elena suddenly cried out frantically, unable to forget that bone-deep terror.
Chase stood to the side and sighed. The mistress was clearly traumatized.
Victor leaned down and kissed Elena's forehead gently—a tenderness he had never shown before.
"Lily is fine now."
"Elena, I promise you, those who hurt you won't even have a chance to regret it."
He reached out to wipe the tears from Elena's eyes.
"...Really? Victor, I believe you." Elena's emotions calmed considerably.
"Yes, rest well, don't overthink."
Victor gently patted the back of Elena's hand, and Elena slowly closed her eyes.
Although her leg injury hurt terribly, her heart felt warm. The five years of waiting had been worth it.
Watching Elena fall asleep, Victor turned his head, his face once again covered with frost.
"Chase, report on the Caldea family's situation."
"Yes, Chief."
Chase immediately pulled out a tablet displaying countless red dots.
Each red dot represented a member or asset point of the Caldea family.
"Three minutes ago, your order took effect globally."
"The London branch has completed the final cleanup of the Caldea Villa."
"In Paris, New York, and Zurich, we've locked down all direct family members."
"Just moments ago, the third-generation heir of the Caldea family was executed at a hotel in Dubai."
"Within the next twelve hours, the surname Caldea will be completely erased from the genealogy of human civilization."
Victor looked at the disappearing red dots, his eyes ice-cold.
He knew the real show was just beginning.
...
Central Europe, inside a hidden castle.
The castle's great hall walls were covered with countless paintings, valuable enough to buy a small African nation.
On display stands in the hall, countless jewelry and jade ornaments were arranged, each one from the hands of great designers.
This was the Fredrick family, an old-money family lurking in Europe, and the Caldea family's backer.
The Fredrick family's foundation was terrifying—they controlled the financial lifelines of several countries.
The pitiful Caldea family was merely their hunting dog for harvesting wealth and supplies.
At that moment, a sharp crack echoed through the hall.
Arthur, the Fredrick family heir, smashed a crystal wine glass on the floor!
"Those useless fools! They actually let them escape!!"
"Victor? They dare to openly destroy forces supported by the Fredrick family without any notification! This is a challenge to our family's century-old honor!"
Arthur roared furiously.
An hour ago, Brown had sent news that Lily had been rescued.
The Fredrick family's people prepared to return to the castle, only to find Mason killed and the castle's underground shelter full of corpses...
Soon after, their informants were eliminated one by one...
They didn't know who did it!
But it definitely had something to do with that madman Victor.
In the hall, several Fredrick family members kept their heads down.
"Mr. Fredrick, according to our investigators, Victor has returned—Elena's husband."
"He took the mutant specimen. That's crucial for life extension. The only thing we need to do now is get the specimen back. They might not have left London yet."
Arthur took a deep breath and collected himself.
"Of course I know that. Mason was just a useless fool."
"That laboratory had guards and so many explosives, yet they couldn't stop someone from wiping them out!"
"I don't care what forces are behind Victor!! In Europe, no one dares to take what belongs to the Fredrick family!"
The advisor paused.
"You mean?"
Arthur walked to the massive floor-to-ceiling window, a cold smile on his lips.
"Immediately put out a high bounty and contact the mercenary guild. I want Victor in hell."
"Also, contact our assassins in London and intercept their return route at all costs!"
"At the same time, notify all our people in London to stop their flight path by any means necessary!"
"I want that mutant specimen back!"
