Chapter 4 Taking Action to Save Someone

The shocked expressions only lingered on their faces for a moment before turning into furious anger.

Liam was the first to react. He quickly stepped forward and stood in front of Albert, staring at him intently. "You ignorant fool, what nonsense are you spouting?"

"Do you even know who's standing in front of you?"

"Someone like you should consider it a good fortune just to see Dr. Anderson!"

Bruce just glanced at Albert casually, his face showing a hint of pride.

"It's fine. Some young people want to show off a bit; that's normal. Unfortunately, this happens to be in my area of expertise. By saying these things, he's only humiliating himself!" Bruce said slowly.

"Is that so?" Albert's eyes were mocking.

"You bastard!" Seeing Albert's expression, Liam completely lost it. He stepped forward again, staring at him. "Do you know who's standing in front of you?"

"He's a giant in our entire Western medical community, a mentor to countless renowned doctors, and a medical authority we all recognize!"

"Over the years, Dr. Anderson has treated countless difficult cases and saved family after family. In the eyes of countless people, his status is unimaginably high!"

"People wanting him to treat them could form a line from here all the way overseas, and you, an ignorant fool, dare to question Dr. Anderson's medical skills?"

Hearing these praises, Bruce's eyes showed barely contained delight.

In this professional field, he believed no one could surpass him.

This was his absolute pride.

"Oh?" Albert remained unmoved. "If this doctor's medical skills are truly as superb as you say, then he should know perfectly well that this medication method is wrong."

"If I'm not mistaken, that small glass vial contains an excessive amount of levodopa. While this can speed up dopamine secretion and improve nerve conduction function, but..."

"Dr. Anderson, I think you should know what consequences excessive levodopa can bring, right?"

Hearing this, Bruce's previously smiling expression gradually froze.

Because Albert was absolutely right.

James's condition was quite special. To maintain his vital signs, he had indeed added a large amount of Levodopa to the medication.

But doing so had no basis whatsoever. To some extent, this was just an experiment on his part.

Fortunately, the previous attempts had worked quite well, but at the same time, he had gradually discovered that the levodopa wasn't as effective as before.

So this time, he had added double the amount of levodopa.

"Do you want me to continue?" Albert looked at Bruce, his voice still calm.

"Albert, shut up!" Liam roared. "I'm ordering you now to apologize to Dr. Anderson, or whatever happens, whatever the consequences, I'll take no responsibility!"

As he spoke, Liam's fists were already clenched tight.

James was one of his bottom lines. Offending Bruce like this, he could hardly imagine what would happen to James in the future.

Just then, the room door opened again, and Luna, hearing the commotion, rushed in.

With just one glance, she immediately understood what had happened.

"Albert." Luna stepped forward, lowering her voice with a hint of pleading. "Listen to me, apologize to Dr. Anderson."

"Luna." Albert glanced at Luna and shook his head helplessly. "If this medication is given to the patient, I'm afraid he won't make it through tonight!"

"I don't know this Dr. Anderson, but based on this medication alone, I can conclude he's using the patient as an experiment!"

"Shut up!" Liam roared, looking at Luna. "Look at what you've brought back! He's a demon, a demon from hell!"

At this point, Liam turned to look at Bruce. "I'm sorry, Dr. Anderson. I apologize on behalf of this loose-lipped fool. For God's sake, please don't take it to heart!"

"I'll definitely teach him a harsh lesson!"

Bruce ignored Liam and looked at Albert. "After hearing you say so much, do you also understand medicine?"

As soon as these words were spoken, both Liam and Luna fell silent. They knew very well that this matter probably wouldn't end well.

"Probably a bit better than you." Albert smiled.

"Good! Come, I'll give you a chance to perform!" Bruce said coolly, opening the large medicine box he carried with him. "You can use any of the medications I brought. I'd like to see how you save James!"

"No!" Liam immediately spoke up. "Bruce, this is no joking matter!"

"Fine." Albert didn't mind. He walked directly to the medicine box and quickly pulled out several medications. Just by touch, he quickly picked up a small vial of medicine.

The entire process didn't even take twenty seconds.

"Well, Mr. Smith, since things have developed to this point, let him treat James!" Bruce clearly hadn't expected Albert to act directly and chose to step back strategically.

"Albert! Apologize to Dr. Anderson, right now!" Liam roared.

Albert couldn't be bothered to respond. Some things become less useful the more you talk about them.

He stepped forward and, before anyone could react, poured the liquid from the glass vial into James's mouth.

Everyone at the scene was stunned again.

"Albert, what are you doing!" Luna shouted.

"You demon, you demon!" Liam roared and rushed over, trying to get the medication out of James's mouth, only to find it completely futile. "I'm calling the police, I'm having you thrown in jail!"

"You'll pay with your life for what you did to my father!"

Bruce stood to the side with his arms crossed, his face wearing a mocking smile.

Medicine wasn't like other things - it required extremely rigorous medical pharmacology. One small mistake and a cure could become poison.

Clearly, this guy called Albert didn't understand any of this.

The medicine he just gave would become the weapon that killed James.

Just as Liam was about to dial the phone, James, who had been lying quietly in bed, suddenly coughed violently and then slowly opened his eyes.

"Cough, cough, cough... What... happened to me?" James's voice was weak. "Liam, Luna, what are you... doing?"

In an instant, the room fell so silent you could hear a pin drop.
