Thalina was having a hard to fathoming her present and all she did was stare blankly at nothingness and did not even notice that the king's guard was already dragging her around the corner.

"Under the bloody full moon and by the power bestowed upon me by the Moon Goddess I gave my blessing to Alpha Magnus and his new Luna, Selene. May your bond successfully conceive an heir that will carry Alpha Magnus' bloodline,"

Magnus and Selene stood up facing King Thaddeus. They laid out their palm and without wasting a second King Thaddeus took out his knife and used it to cut their palms.

The blood that dripped from their palm was put on the golden cup and once enough blood was collected, Magnus and Selene drank it to seal their bond and strengthen their connection.

Thalina wanted to go to the altar to stop them but her knees started to wobble and she could feel her strength starting to leave her body.

Seeing her husband sealing a bond with her sister felt like the cruelest torture she had ever experienced taking away all her strength and energy. It felt like her skin was being ripped off her body.

"Don't do this to me, Magnus," she kept on pleading but it came out as a whisper with no one to hear and no one to notice.

Tears clouded her vision and everything became blurry as tears continuously fell from her eyes but she still recognized the figure of the man walking towards her.

He was walking confidently as if he owned the world. Everyone stepped aside creating a way for him and when he finally reached Thalina he extended his hand offering it once again.

"Wipe your tears. You belong to me now so you will do whatever I say,"

Thalina stared at the hands of the King completely hesitating whether she should take them or not.

"I want to stay here. I need to take back what's mine," she uttered her voice shaking as she tried to suppress her tears from falling.

King Thaddeus took a deep breath and signaled his guard to take Thalina.

"Bring her to the palace," he uttered before walking away while Thalina was held by his guards.

"Please I don't want to leave. Magnus take me back, please. Don't let the King take me. Please Magnus don't do this to me," Thalina pleaded brushing off the hold of the King's guard but she was weak compared to them and all she could do was plead until she was put on the carriage.

"I cannot give anything to your King. I am a useless she-wolf. Please let me go. I don't want to live in the palace," she continued begging but they remained deaf to her pleas.

When she felt the carriage moving she attempted to jump but the guards pinned her against the carriage refusing to let her go.

Up until the very last moment she was hoping for Magnus to show up and take her back. She was hoping that he would come running to save her from her despair but they had already reached the palace and no Magnus came.

"Bring her to her chamber," one of the guards ordered.

Thalina wanted to fight back but it was useless. She was just draining her remaining energy because she knew that no matter what she did she could no longer leave the palace. It was a written rule. Once you enter the palace there is no turning back, unless the King wants you to leave.

Thalina could feel her knees shaking as she followed the guards. Eyes are watching her probably wondering who she is and why she is here.

"Stay here and don't leave. You can only come out once the King gives you permission," one of the guards told her.

They opened a wooden door and despite her shaking knees she managed to step inside. Upon roaming her eyes around she saw a huge bed that was twice as big as her old bed. There is also a vanity mirror and a huge wooden cabinet.

Everything inside the room screams fortune but she can't find any comfort in it. She wasn't dreaming of a lavish life. All she wants is to spend the rest of her life with the man that she loved...with Magnus.

When the guards shut the door fear filled Thalina's chest.

She looks like a lost kid standing inside a huge room that is filled with unfamiliar things.

She was still figuring out everything when the door swung open revealing the man who put him in this situation.

Desperate to leave Thalina knelt on the floor and bowed her head not minding if her lips would end up kissing the floor.

"I don't want to live here King Thaddeus. Please let me go. You won't get anything from me. I am a useless she-wolf who cannot conceive a child. I don't have any special ability. I am weak King Thaddeus. I am nothing special,"

Those words were filled with desperation but instead of giving in to what she wanted King Thaddeus kneeled in front of Thalina with one knee and held her chin to meet his gaze.

He stared at the woman's beautiful face but was stained with tears. Her skin is as white as snow. Her eyelashes were long making her hazel brown eyes stand out even more. Her small nose made her even more angelic and her small heart-shaped pinkish lips resembled a perfectly made bow.

"A beautiful she-wolf like you shouldn't shed tears for that asshole," King Thaddeus spoke not hiding his admiration for the woman.

Thalina's forehead creased completely caught off guard by the King's compliment.

"Magnus is not an asshole King Thaddeus. My husband isn't like that,"

King Thaddeus can't help but laugh hearing Thalina defending her ex-husband. After everything that her husband put her through she still takes his side.

"Can you hear yourself? You are seriously defending the man who hurt you and put you to shame? Your asshole ex-husband abandoned you and chose another she-wolf to be his Luna. He replaced you and insulted you in front of his pack but you will still defend him?"

"I love him," Thalina firmly uttered hoping that was enough reason to justify the words she had uttered. "After all the pain he inflicted on me I still love him and I can feel anger surging within me when I hear you insulting him, King Thaddeus. No matter how many mistakes he committed he is still my husband and it was my duty as his wife to protect his name,"

King Thaddeus can't help but shake his head hearing Thalina's response. He let go of her chin and stood up.

"Your divorce paper is being processed already and few hours from now he is no longer your husband so you don't have to protect that asshole's name, Thalina,"

Enraged Thalina stood up and looked at the ruthless king eye to eye.

"You can't decide on that King Thaddeus. I won't divorce Magnus," she firmly uttered fighting the intensity of King Thaddeus' gaze.

"You will," King Thaddeus confidently responded lowering his head to make their faces level.

"You will divorce him because I will make you my Queen. Instead of loving that man foolishly why don't you make him and his new Luna pay, Thalina?"

Without breaking off the gaze King Thaddeus took a ring out of his pocket and showed it to her.

"Marry me and be my Queen, and I vow to help you get your revenge Thalina,"
