Chapter2 Should Get Private Part Plastic Surgery
Lyra's POV
My hands moved to my bra clasp with trembling fingers.
The fabric fell away, leaving me completely exposed in the moonlight. I crossed my arms over my chest instinctively, but Seraphina said. "Drop your arms. I need to see everything for a proper examination."
I let my arms fall to my sides. Seraphina's gaze lingered on my chest. She didn't say anything, but the contempt in her eyes spoke volumes.
Heat rushed to my cheeks. I'd always been quietly proud of my figure. I thought my curves were flawless and my proportions perfectly balanced. But under her gaze, my once-prized form had shrunk to nothing beneath her stare.
"Dorian, could you give us some privacy?" Seraphina called out sweetly. "This requires a more... intimate examination. I'm sure you understand."
I watched in horror as Dorian nodded curtly and turned away, walking toward the tree line without a backward glance.
"Now then," Seraphina said, her voice dropping its sweet facade. "Lie down. Right here on the ground."
"What?"
"You heard me. If you want me to examine you properly, you need to lie down and spread your legs."
"No!"
"Excuse me?" Seraphina's eyes narrowed dangerously.
"I said no. I won't do this."
Seraphina stepped closer. "You will do exactly as I say, or—"
"Dorian!" I screamed his name, but he stood at a distance and didn't turn around.
"Dorian, Dorian, please! She's asking me to take off my underwear!"
“Dorian... Dorian...please...”
But he never looked back.
When Seraphina lunged forward to grab me, I fought back wildly, my hands finding her golden hair and pulling hard. Her scream pierced the night air.
Dorian came rushing back. "What the hell is going on?"
"She attacked me!" Seraphina sobbed.
I stood there, my chest heaving, tears streaming down my face. "You heard me screaming, but you did nothing." My voice cracked with hysteria. "You want her to continue this examination? Fine! But if you're going to let her humiliate me like this, then you're going to stay right here and watch every second of it!"
Dorian's jaw tightened. "Lyra—"
"And I'll make sure your parents know exactly what you both did to me tonight! I'll tell them how their precious son stood by while his former lover degraded his mate! How you let her strip me naked in the forest like some common whore!"
"Look at her!" Seraphina pointed at me. "Completely unhinged! This is exactly the unstable behavior I'd expect from someone making false pregnancy claims!"
Seraphina straightened her clothing. "I was trying to help, but she's too emotionally compromised. I think the reason is obvious.”
She was implying that I was faking my pregnancy.
"No! I'm telling the truth! We need to go to Dr. Blackwood tomorrow morning. She'll show you the test results!"
"Fine," Dorian said coldly. "Tomorrow morning we'll settle this once and for all."
Seraphina's expression never wavered. "Of course. I'm not afraid of the truth."There was a glitter of anticipation in her eyes that made my stomach churn.
The next morning arrived gray and cold, matching my mood perfectly. I'd barely slept, my mind racing with anxiety and my wolf pacing restlessly. But beneath the fear was a core of certainty. I was pregnant, and Dr. Blackwood would prove it.
Dr. Blackwood's clinic was in the heart of downtown.
When we entered her office, Dr. Blackwood looked up from her desk.
"Dr. Blackwood," I said. "Thank you for seeing us on such short notice. Could you please show Mr. Blackthorne my test results from three days ago?"
The doctor's face went completely blank. "I'm sorry, what test results?"
"The pregnancy test. You confirmed I was six weeks pregnant."
"Miss Nightfall," Dr. Blackwood said slowly, "I've never diagnosed you as pregnant at all. In fact, you've been the one begging me to fabricate a pregnancy report for you."
"That's impossible—"
"Furthermore," the doctor continued, reaching into her desk drawer, "I found this in my office yesterday morning." She held up a delicate silver chain with a crescent moon pendant. "Your mother's necklace, I believe? The one you used to try to bribe me into fabricating pregnancy results?"
I stared at the necklace in shock. It was indeed my mother's. It's a precious heirloom I'd thought I'd lost months ago. The moonstone pendant caught the light, making my heart ache with memories of my deceased parents.
"I didn't—" I started, but Dr. Blackwood cut me off.
"I'm afraid I can't be bought, Miss Nightfall. Creating false medical records is not only unethical, it's illegal. I should report you to the authorities."
"This is wrong!" my wolf was nearly incoherent with rage. "We never gave her that necklace! Someone stole it!"
But before I could even explain, I noticed Dorian's face. The last traces of warmth had drained from his amber eyes, replaced by a coldness that chilled me to the bone.
"So you tried to bribe a doctor, you fabricated medical evidence to trap me into a permanent mating bond."
"No, Dorian, please—"
"This is a family disgrace, The Blackthorne name associated with fraud and deception."
I looked desperately between him and the doctor, my mind reeling. Someone had stolen my mother's necklace and planted it here. Someone had convinced Dr. Blackwood to lie. But who? And why?
My gaze fell on Seraphina, who was watching the proceedings with barely contained satisfaction. Her green eyes glittered with triumph, and suddenly I understood.
She had orchestrated all of this.
But I had no proof to convince anyone. And the look in Dorian's eyes told me he was already gone.
