Chapter 5 My Luna has a Dick
Luca's POV
The wedding was over. I thought that meant the worst part was behind me.
It wasn't. It was just the start of a new hell, and this one didn't have an audience of three hundred wolves — just me, Rodrigo, and a bed the size of a small army barracks.
Elias hadn't shut up since the bonding bite.
Elias: Mate. Did you feel that? Mate.
"Go away," I muttered, and then realized I'd said it out loud. Fantastic. Married less than a day and already talking to myself.
Elias: There's nothing to be embarrassed about. We should be glad he belongs to us.
"He doesn't belong to anyone. And neither do I." I moved further into the suite, putting as much distance between myself and Rodrigo as the room allowed, which wasn't nearly enough. Dark wood, a fireplace, floor-to-ceiling windows, and that bed — the bed represented every problem I currently had, and I intended to solve it by never going near it.
Rodrigo shrugged off his jacket like he hadn't just spent the day bonding himself to a stranger. "You've been avoiding me."
"I've been standing near several hundred people all day. Forgive me for wanting five feet of space."
"Not them. Me." His eyes didn't move off me. "You flinched when I touched you."
Damn it.
"Maybe I don't like being touched without warning."
"Maybe." He said it like he didn't believe a word of it, and honestly, neither did I.
Elias: He smells so good.
"Please. Stop."
Elias: Strong arms. Definitely your type.
I considered the window as an exit strategy for the second time that day.
I disappeared into the bathroom before he could ask anything else, showered fast, and came out in one of his oversized shirts with the padding still in place and a pair of his sweatpants cinched tight with a length of rope, because apparently he kept clothes in my size and I refused to think about why. I wasn't touching that bed. I'd sleep standing up if I had to.
Rodrigo was on his phone when I came back in. I let myself hope, for about four seconds, that he'd lost interest.
Then I looked up and his eyes were already on me.
I stood immediately. "I think I'll sleep somewhere else."
He set the phone down without hurrying. "Why?"
Because I'm a man. Because you'll kill me the second you find out. Because my father sold me to save an alliance I never agreed to. I said none of it. "I'm more comfortable alone."
"You're my wife. The Luna of this pack. Where I sleep, you sleep."
Definitely unhinged. Nobody was this invested in a marriage built entirely on a lie he didn't know he was living.
I made my move for the door the second his attention flicked away — not that I actually had anywhere to run inside a fortress crawling with his guards, but instinct doesn't care about logistics. I didn't make it three steps before a hand closed around my wrist.
Heat shot straight up my arm.
Elias: MATE.
"Shut up."
Elias: He's touching us.
I hated this wolf. Seriously.
Rodrigo let go almost as fast as he'd grabbed me, and I stepped back on reflex — straight into the wall, because of course he'd followed. He was close enough now that I could feel the frustration coming off him like heat off pavement.
"Look at me."
I looked at literally anything else.
"Lucille."
My stomach dropped at the name that wasn't mine.
"Look at me."
I made myself meet his eyes, and something about the way he was looking at me made the fear in my chest sharpen into something closer to panic. If he finds out right now, I thought, I might actually have to kill him to leave this room alive.
His hand moved to the hem of my shirt. I grabbed his wrist. "What do you think you're doing?"
"What I should've done the moment we walked in here. You're my Luna. The pack will want an heir."
He caught both my wrists in one hand and pinned them over my head before I'd fully processed the sentence. Elias, useless as ever, went completely silent right when I needed him to think of literally anything.
One-handed, he loosened the rope at my waist. The pants hit the floor. He never looked away from my face while he did it, which was somehow worse.
I fought him — I was strong, but he was stronger, and it didn't matter how hard I twisted, his grip didn't give an inch. He let go of my wrists just as the shirt came off over my head, and it landed somewhere on the floor, leaving me in nothing but the padded bra and my briefs. I threw my arms over my chest on instinct.
He leaned in and used his tongue to trace the bite mark. The action sent a jolt of electricity through me. His hands moved to touch the padding I was protecting on my chest and I pushed his hands away. He only touched it for a second so I doubt he noticed anything.
But then he stepped back, confusion flickering across his face as his eyes moved over me. "Take your hands off."
My hands wouldn't move.
"I said take them off." Louder this time, and I did — mostly because some stupid, cornered part of me decided I'd rather face this standing straight than shaking. I looked perfect. I wasn't going to act like I didn't.
I watched the exact moment it hit him.
Every trace of warmth, confusion, and patience drained out of his face in real time, replaced by something colder. The kind of fury that started wars.
His jaw locked. "What kind of sick joke is this?"
I didn't answer. Staying alive felt like a higher priority.
"You're the other one." His voice dropped, flat and dangerous.
"Luca," I said. "My name is Luca." If he was going to kill me, he could at least get it right.
He didn't seem to hear me. His hand closed around my throat and he ripped the bra off in one motion, the strap biting into my skin before it tore free completely.
"What are you doing…"
He didn't answer that either. His hand found the waistband of my briefs — the only thing I had left — and pulled it down in one motion, leaving me completely naked and exposed with his hand still resting against my throat.
I didn't try to stop him this time. There wasn't a version of this where I won anyway.
Rodrigo looked me over slowly, head to toe, and the silence stretched long enough that I could hear my own heartbeat over it. When his eyes finally came back to mine, his voice had dropped even lower than before — quiet in a way that scared me more than yelling would have.
"Why the fuck does my Luna have a dick?"
