Chapter 7 First Encounter With Samantha and Eva
BELLA POV
As I was walking, I saw Samantha heading toward the garden. I noticed that something had fallen from her pocket, so I immediately picked it up and saw that it was a picture of Adrian.
Is she friends with my brother?
I immediately followed her and saw her quietly sitting on the side. It seemed like she was thinking deeply about something.
"Samantha," I called her.
“Who are you? ” she asked.
Instead of answering, I handed her the picture. “You dropped this.”
Nervousness was evident on her face.
“Are you okay?" I asked.
She slowly nodded and then lowered her head. “Thank you for bringing this back to me. This person is so important to me. He is one of the bravest people I have ever met.” I could feel the sadness and pain in her voice.
She stood up and walked toward me. “Don’t tell anyone about the poctjre," she said seriously before leaving.
As time passed in this university, I gradually got to know the people who had been around Adrian for a long time.
Samantha, whom I suspect has a deep connection with my brother because of the picture I found.
“Are you alone? Can I sit here? "II looked at the woman standing in front of me carrying a tray of food.
As far as I remember, she’s Eva. One of the university's golden group.
I nodded. “You can.”
“You're Bella right?"
“Yes. And you’re Eva.”
“So you already me," she smiled.
“Who doesn’t know you and your group friends? "I laughed.
We ended up talking for quite a while since neither of us had classes during that time.
She seemed so kind.
She was the type of person you could instantly become friends with and trust.
I noticed Eva looking to the side when Tyler walked by.
“You like him? "I” I asked.
“Huh? W-what are you talking about?” she stammered.
“I’m not blind. I noticed the way you look at him,” I said.
“We’re friends,” she insisted.
“And? Some love stories start with friendship. Some friends become lovers.”
She looked away. “Not all.” Sadness was evident in her voice.
“Did you confess him? "I” I asked.
Her eyes widened. “Are you serious with that question?”
“Yes.”
“Girls don’t admit their feelings first.”
“You think so? We’re in a new generation now, Eva. It’s no longer the norm that only guys should confess their feelings. Both genders are already equal,” I said.
“You don’t get it. I won’t beg for love.”
“I didn’t say you should do that. What I’m saying is, take a risk,” I said softly.
“Taking risks is dangerous, Bella.”
“It’s better to do it than regret it.”
EVA POV
I enjoyed talking to the new student, Bella. She’s amazing and comfortable to talk to.
I just didn’t expect her to notice my admiration for Tyler.
She’s observant.
“Hey! You’re spacing out.” I snapped back to my senses when Bella lightly tapped me.
“I’m just thinking about something,” I replied.
“Is it Tyler? Don’t think about it too much since you see him every day anyway.”
“You’re crazy! Keep your voice down or someone might hear.” I just shook my head at what she said. She had been teasing me about that guy for a while now.
Bella laughed. “Relax. It’s not like I shouted his name across the cafeteria.”
“You’re impossible.”
“I’m just saying what I noticed.” She rested her chin on her hand. “You always watch him when he isn’t looking.”
“You notice too much.”
“That’s because people reveal more than they realize.”
I smiled awkwardly. “That sounds like something a detective would say.”
“Maybe I missed my calling.”
We both laughed.
After a few seconds of silence, Bella looked around the campus.
“This university is bigger than I expected,” she said. “I still get lost sometimes.”
“You'll get used to it. Give it a few weeks.”
“I hope so. Earlier, I accidentally ended up near the science building when my class was on the other side of campus.”
I chuckled. “You're not the first freshman to do that.”
“So, if I get lost again, can I ask you for directions? ”
"Of course," I smiled. “You can ask me anything.”
“Really?”
“Really.”
“Good.” She grinned. “Then I guess I just made my first friend here.”
Her words caught me off guard.
“You're easy to talk to,” she continued. “Most people already have their own groups, so I wasn't sure if I'd fit in.”
“You'll fit in,” I assured her. “Just be yourself.”
“I'll remember that.”
A little later, she checked the time on her phone and suddenly gasped.
“Oh my god.”
“Hey! What happened? Is there any problem? "I asked.
“As much as I wanted to have a talk with you. I need to go now, Eva. I don’t want to be late for my next subject,” she said as she hurriedly gathered her things.
“Let’s just hang out again if we have vacant time.” I said, smiling.
“I'll definitely take that offer.” She smiled warmly before slinging her bag over her shoulder.
“Thank you for your time. See you around.” I waved at her as she walked away.
I stayed seated for another minute before deciding to leave as well.
I was about to stand up when I suddenly saw her wallet.
‘She forgot this.’
I immediately picked it up and ran after her, but I couldn’t catch up to her anymore. I didn’t even know what subject she had next.
I looked at the wallet because I liked its design, and when I opened it, I was greeted by a picture of Adrian.
I suddenly froze where I was standing and stared at it carefully to make sure I was seeing it correctly.
‘Why does she have a picture of Adrian?
‘Is she connected to him? ’
