Chapter 4 The Will

Clara was totally losing it over Diana. She didn't even bother with the servants in the Percy Mansion, just handled it herself.

The slaps rang sharply through the air.

Diana's cheeks grew numb, and blood dripped from her mouth.

The pain throughout her body and face left Diana helpless. She just endured the beating.

Nolan stood by, silent and unmoving. Diana wasn't Mrs. Percy anymore. Sister drama? Not his problem.

Plus, Charles despised Diana. No one would dare to interfere.

So, the house was filled with the sound of slaps and Clara's shouting.

"Come on, big mouth! Where's all that talk now?" Clara shouted.

Diana spat blood, barely remaining conscious.

"Clara, you know what?" Diana's voice was weak but icy. "I'll remember this. If I ever get the chance, I'll repay you a hundredfold!"

Clara was momentarily stunned but quickly resumed hitting her. "Still talking tough, huh? You'll always be a loser. Think your threats scare me?"

She kept slapping until Diana could no longer speak.

Nolan, worried Diana might actually get killed in the Percy Mansion, finally intervened to stop Clara.

Clara, also exhausted, ordered the servants to strip Diana and throw her out.

The Percy Mansion went completely silent. Nolan went to report.

He knocked on the door, and Charles's deep voice came from inside. "Come in."

"Mr. Percy, as you ordered, Ms. Spencer's been thrown out,"Nolan reported..

Charles's eyes darkened, remembering Diana's words. "Did she say anything?"

"No, nothing," Nolan replied.

Charles was quiet for a moment, then said, "Throw her farther away. Don't let her soil the Percy Mansion."

Nolan nodded and told the servants to dump Diana on the road.

It was autumn, and Diana was left in just her underwear after Clara's beating. She looked pitiful.

The servants had initially dumped her at the gate, but the new order meant they had to take her farther.

When they got back to the gate, Diana was still lying there, barely alive.

Diana sensed someone coming but was too exhausted to move.

Her whole body ached, and if Charles wanted her dead, she couldn't resist.

Luckily, they didn't plan to kill her; they just dragged her to the road.

Diana's tense body finally went slack, and she passed out.

She didn't know how long she was out, but she woke up in a room, lying on a soft bed.

Her wounds were treated, and her clothes were soft and comfy.

"Where am I?" Diana mumbled.

Suddenly, a tall guy walked in through the bedroom door.

Seeing Diana's wary look, he smiled warmly and handed her some medicine, and said, "Ms. Spencer, you're awake? Don't worry. I'm Robert Davis, your mom's private lawyer."

Diana didn't take the medicine. She only remembered losing consciousness on the road.

Robert claimed to be her mom Bianca's lawyer? She didn't remember him.

Robert took his time, placing the medicine aside. "It's no surprise you don't remember me. You were just a kid back then," he remarked.

Bianca had died when Diana was 13. After that, Clara and her mom moved in and wrecked the Spencer family.

And now, a lawyer showing up out of nowhere?

Diana stayed cautious. "Did you save me?"

Robert smiled. "A kind passerby saved you. I just happened to be looking for you and brought you here. The passerby covered you with a coat, and a neighbor helped change your clothes. I didn't see a thing."

Diana started to believe him. Being here was way better than lying naked on the road. "You said you were looking for me. Why haven't you shown up before?" she asked.

"Your mom left a will for you, and told me to give it to you on your 24th birthday," Robert replied.

With that, Robert left the room and came back with a document.

Diana opened it, and there it was, her mom's signature: Bianca Spencer.

Robert added, "Your mom left you an inheritance, including fifteen percent of the Spencer Group's shares and a villa she owned."

Bianca's death had been sudden, but she still managed to leave something for Diana.

It wasn't a ton, but it was enough for Diana to get her revenge and make those jerks pay.

Robert mentioned it, and Diana remembered. The day of her divorce was her 24th birthday, and it had been a terrible day. Diana closed the document and asked Robert, "How long have I been out?"

"You were seriously hurt and have been out for three days. The doc said you need more rest," Robert replied.

"Three days, enough for them to enjoy." Diana's voice was cold as she pushed aside the covers and got out of bed.

In a daze, Robert thought he saw the spirited Bianca.

"Where are you going?" Robert asked.

Diana stopped and said in a deep voice, "These injuries are all thanks to my dear sister. I've been lying here for three days while she's been confortable at home. Robert, do you think that's fair?"

Without waiting for Robert to reply, Diana continued, " And my dad and his mistress have had a good life for too long. It's time for them to pay up."

With that, Diana left the room. Seeing her leave, Robert quickly put on his suit and followed.

The sunlight outside was blinding. Diana raised her hand to shield her eyes, but she was filled with excitement, not just for avenging the original Diana, but for the joy of her own rebirth.

Those who hurt her and the original Diana wouldn't get away with it!

At the Spencer Villa, Clara's family was having a grand old time.

Clara's mom, Mia Wilson, was picking out a necklace for Clara.

These days had been full of good news. With Diana out of the picture, the position of the Percy Family's matriarch was up for grabs. Charles was going to a party, and Clara could attend with him.

Luckily, Charles only hated Diana, so Clara still had a shot.

Clara asked her dad, "Which necklace should I wear?" Holding up two necklaces, she looked indecisive.

Nathan chimed in, "My darling daughter looks good in anything. If you can't decide, go with the priciest one."

Mia also smiled, "I have more in my jewelry box. Take your time to choose. You must look stunning and not disappoint Mr. Percy."

The three of them laughed together, looking like a happy family.

But their happiness came at the cost of Diana and Bianca's misery.

Nathan, a heartless jerk, had not only taken the Spencer family's assets but also brought Mia into the house, ditching his own daughter Diana.

At this moment, Diana and Robert arrived at the door and rang the bell, waiting for the servant to open up.

The servant, seeing Diana back, looked like she'd seen a ghost.

"Ms. Spencer, why are you back?" the servant asked.

Diana stayed calm. "Isabella, why do I feel like you're not happy to see me back in my own home?"

The housekeeper, Isabella Taylor, turned pale. Diana had been gone for years, and there was no place for her in the house. Even her bedroom had been taken over by Clara.

But Diana's presence was so imposing that Isabella didn't dare to say much. If it had been before, she would have kicked her out.

After she entered the house, Diana noticed that the Spencer Villa looked the same as before, with no major changes.

She asked Isabella, "Are my dad, Mia, and Clara home?"

Her tone was icy, making Isabella shiver.

Isabella  replied, "Yes, they are all home."

"Good, we can settle this together." Diana then quickened her pace, eager to see the looks on their faces when they saw her.
