OMARI

The howls came again. More faint, this time. Almost like an echo carried by the wind.

I froze for a moment, my heart thudding in my chest. Ashton stood beside me, eyes still fixed on the tree line. His shoulders were tense, his breathing steady but sharp.

“Inside,” he said again, softer now....
