I pushed open the front door, and an enticing aroma hit me immediately.

"Wow! It really does smell amazing!" I called out.

"Let me check on it." Gideon set down his bag and headed toward the kitchen. "I used the slow cooker timer—should be ready right about now."

Moments later, he emerged wearing...
