Chapter 4
Seraphina's POV
The Miami Open's main court buzzed with excitement. I sat in the VIP section, rocking a red off-shoulder dress, its neckline low enough to turn heads.
But my eyes were glued to the court.
Phoenix was warming up, sunlight glinting off his sculpted muscles. Each swing of his racket showed off his flawless physique. His black athletic shirt clung to his chest, highlighting strong arms and a lean neck.
"Nice body," I muttered, blowing a playful whistle.
As a top-tier emotional assassin, appreciating prime prey was part of the job. Phoenix was definitely worth savoring.
The match kicked off. Phoenix's first serve—a blistering 115 mph—scored instantly, igniting the crowd. He glanced my way, flashing a dazzling grin.
"Show-off," I smirked to myself, raising my champagne glass in a toast.
For the next two hours, Phoenix was a force of nature. Every sprint, leap, and swing felt like a private performance for me. Sweat dripped down his face, his muscles shimmering in the sun.
It was a damn visual feast.
When he clinched the final point, the crowd erupted, leaping to their feet. Phoenix raised his racket, waving to the stands.
Then he did something that sent the female fans into a frenzy—he blew a kiss to the crowd.
The stadium exploded. Women screamed, men whooped, and cameras flashed like crazy.
But I knew that kiss was for me.
His eyes locked on mine, that kiss meant for me alone.
For a split second, my heart skipped a beat.
SHIT.
The feeling faded fast, and I regained control. Just a hot guy's charm offensive—nothing I couldn't handle.
After the match, Phoenix jogged straight to me in the player's tunnel.
"Did you see that?" he said, grinning like a kid. "I WON!"
"I saw," I said, smiling. "You were incredible."
He pulled me into a hug, his warmth and strength wrapping around me. I could smell his sweat and raw masculinity, feel his racing heartbeat.
"Wanna celebrate?" he asked, eyes bright with hope.
"Obviously."
We headed to the VIP lounge. Phoenix rambled excitedly about the match, and I played along, half-listening.
Then my phone buzzed. Caspian's name lit up the screen.
"Sorry, gotta take this," I told Phoenix.
"No worries, take your time."
I stepped onto the lounge's balcony, making sure he couldn't hear.
"Babe, where are you?" Caspian's voice dripped with possessiveness. "I miss you."
"Handling some business," I said, letting my voice sound worn out. "The investors here are a pain."
"Need me to step in?" he asked. "I can send my legal team—"
"No, I've got it," I cut him off. "Just need a little time."
"You sound exhausted."
"A bit." I rubbed my temple for effect. "But I'm almost done."
"If anyone's giving you trouble, give me a name," Caspian said, his voice turning icy. "I'll make them regret it."
"No need, I'm fine," I said softly. "I'll be back with you soon."
I hung up and returned to the lounge. Phoenix was chatting with a waiter.
"Everything okay?" he asked, concern in his eyes.
"Just some annoying business partners," I sighed. "Some people always want control."
"Sounds like a hassle." He stepped closer. "If someone's messing with you, I can handle it."
I looked up, letting a flicker of vulnerability show. "You'd really protect me?"
His gaze turned resolute. "Damn right," he said, taking my hand. "I won't let anyone hurt you."
"Thank you…" I said, feigning deep emotion, my hands gliding over his firm chest, feeling his heart race.
Phoenix's breathing hitched.
I leaned in, whispering against his ear, "With you around, I feel so safe… Phoenix…"
My warm breath grazed his earlobe, and he shivered. Then I rose on my toes, brushing a soft kiss across his lips.
He froze for a second before crushing me against the wall, kissing me fiercely. His tongue invaded my mouth, stealing my breath. I felt his body shift, his hardening bulge pressing against my stomach.
"Seraphina…" he gasped my name, hands roaming my body.
I didn't stop him. This was exactly what I wanted.
His hands slid up my waist, cupping my breasts through the thin fabric. I could feel the heat of his palms.
"Not here…" I pushed him lightly, teasing. "What if someone walks in?"
"No one will," he rasped. "This is the VIP lounge. The door's guarded."
He pressed me onto the couch, his usually gentle eyes burning with raw desire.
"I want you," he said bluntly. "Since the moment I saw you."
"Then take me," I said with a sly smile. "But make it quick."
Phoenix didn't hesitate. He tore my dress, revealing my black lace lingerie.
"God, you're gorgeous…" he murmured, kissing my collarbone, trailing lower.
When his lips closed around my nipple, I let out a soft moan. Damn, this guy knew how to please.
His hand slid to my panties, teasing through the fabric. I could feel my own heat, already wet.
"You're ready," he said, satisfied, before pulling my panties off.
I undid his pants, freeing him. He was slightly smaller than Caspian but perfectly shaped.
"You sure about this?" I asked, knowing the answer.
"I can't wait," he growled, entering me in one swift thrust.
The tight, hot connection made him groan. I closed my eyes, savoring the fullness.
Phoenix started slow, cautious, like he was afraid to hurt me.
I didn't need gentle.
"Harder," I whispered in his ear. "I'm not some fragile doll. If you can't satisfy me, I'll find someone else—"
Before I could finish, his eyes flashed with danger. He gripped my hips and thrust hard, each movement precise and relentless, hitting deep.
Holy HELL.
"You're MINE," he growled.
I smirked, tossing him a sultry grin.
"Seraphina… you're driving me insane…" he panted.
I clung to him, nails digging into his back. I had to admit, this guy was good in bed.
Our breathing grew ragged, bodies pressed tight, sweat mingling. The room reeked of lust.
When the climax hit, my body trembled. Phoenix peaked at the same moment, buried deep inside me.
We held each other, catching our breath.
"Seraphina…" He stroked my hair. "I…"
"Shh." I pressed a finger to his lips. "Don't say too much."
He nodded, kissing my forehead.
Lying in his arms, I stared at the ceiling, plotting. Today went faster than planned. Phoenix was already mine—next, I'd make him fall deeper.
Soon, I'd turn the brothers against each other and destroy Phoenix completely.
But for now, I'd enjoy the thrill this gorgeous man gave me.
After all, work could use a little fun, right?
