I leaned against the wall, lit a cigarette, took a deep drag.

“Boss,” Marco said quietly. “Donna, she—”

She was crying.

“Keep an eye on her,” I said. “Don’t let her die.”

“Yes, Boss.”

I took another drag.

“And one more thing.”
