Chapter 3 Cheat On Sight
MIA’S POV
"Uh....Axel...fuck!"
Tears approached my eyes as the female voice moaned continuously.
I resumed my walk, heading towards Axel's room.
"Don't stop, baby. Don't stop, please. Uh!"
I covered my mouth with my palm as tears filled my eyes.
"Oh Axel....you are so good. This feels so good,"
My heart clenched as I got to the door. It was slightly open, and I got a glimpse of the last image I expected to see.
Axel and a brunet girl are having sex on his bed.
I opened the door properly, and I saw them clearly.
I let out a breathless scoff.
My heart tore into shreds.
My boyfriend is literally sleeping with another girl right before my eyes.
"Uh yes! Yes, Axel!" she moaned louder and her eyes moved to me.
"What the....who the hell are you?" she asked, making Axel turn his head towards me.
We locked eyes.
"Oh shit," he muttered, getting off of her and out of bed too. My brimming eyes rested on him as he stood, covering his naked self from his torso down with the white duvet as he stared between me and the girl.
"Mia," he called.
A tear rolled down my eyes as I stared at him.
"Who is she?" the girl asked, making him look at her. She is holding the part of the duvet close to her chest, covering her breasts.
"Um...she is uh....she..." He stuttered, running his fingers through his short black hair.
"Can't you speak anymore, Axel? Who the fuck is this cheap-looking thing and what the fuck is she doing in your house?" she asked.
"She is no one, Amy."
I froze.
A sharp sting slit my heart.
"What is she doing here then?!" she yelled.
"I.... Just let me handle this, okay?" he said.
She scoffed. "Fine. Handle it quickly before I break her dumb face looking at me right now," she said, glaring at me.
I am beyond dumbfounded right now.
"Hurry up, Axel!"
"Okay, okay" he said, putting on his shorts quickly.
"Axel," I almost whispered.
"Let's go," he said, walking towards me and grabbing my arm.
"Axel," I called again, but he grabbed me out of the room.
"I specifically told you to call me first before coming to my house, Mia," he almost whispered, taking me towards the stairs.
"I called several times, but you didn't.....you didn't pick," I tried to say properly.
He grabbed me down the stairs without looking at me.
"What is going on?" I asked as tears flowed.
He didn't respond but took me to the living room.
He let go of my arm and began pacing a little.
"Who is she?" I barely whispered as my heavy heart got heavier.
"Listen, Mia, you need to leave," he said, standing in front of me.
My heart clenched as I stared at his blue eyes.
The first thing I fell in love with that first day we met at the mall.
"What?" I breathed.
"You should have called me before coming."
"I did. You didn't pick up,"
"Then you should have continued trying till I picked up and not show up in my fucking house. What is wrong with you?" he scolded.
I lowered my gaze as my heart bled.
He muttered something under his breath, looking away.
"You are cheating on me, Axel," I said, looking at him.
"You weren't supposed to be here,"
I scoffed in disbelief.
"You don't show up at my house unannounced. You are bound to see something you won't like if you do. Now look," he said, moving his hands.
I furrowed my brows. "What are you saying, Axel?"
He heaved a tired sigh.
"I caught you cheating on me, and you are not.....you are not even remorseful."
"It is your fault, Mia. You should have called before....."
"I did!" I blurted, making more tears flow.
He looked at me.
"Why?"
"Just go, Mia. I will call you later,"
I scoffed in disbelief.
"You have to go now,"
"Who is she to you?" I almost cried.
"None of your business,"
"Axel,"
"Why are you even here anyway?" he retorted.
I swallowed, lowering my gaze as I recalled my situation.
"I thought we have specific days we normally see each other. Today is not one of them, is it?"
"I got fired," I said, looking at him.
"What?"
"They fired me today. Someone reported our relationship, and now I have been kicked out."
He scoffed. "Seriously?"
I stared at him.
He heaved a sigh. "Just go home. I will talk to my mother about it."
I stared at him.
"Leave, Mia," he said calmly.
"Why are you like this?"
He heaved a sigh, looking away.
"Why are you doing this to me? I thought you said you love me." My voice almost broke.
"I told you what I told you. If you choose not to believe it, then that is your problem, not mine. Just go,"
My heart felt weak, but my legs moved on their own and closer to him.
"Why are you sounding like this? Did I do something wrong?" I asked, reaching for his cheek, but.....
"Get your filthy hands off my man, you blond whore," Amy's voice stole our attention.
She is descending the stairs dressed in Axel's shirt, which I recognize very well.
She just called him her man.
"I told you to leave, Mia," he scolded, making me look at him as she approached us.
"Axel...."
I got pushed by Amy, making me fall back.
"I said back off, Blondie," she ordered, glaring at me.
"Amy," Axel called.
"Get the hell out of our house!" Amy yelled at me, ignoring Axel.
"Leave, Mia," Axel said. I moved my eyes to him.
His eyes are mean.
He is not going to defend me.
He really wants me to leave.
"He said get the hell out," Amy ordered, pushing me and I landed on the floor, letting out a whimper.
"Pathetic tramp, come on, Axel. I haven't orgasmed yet," she said, taking his hand and leading to the stairs.
"Go, Mia," he said, following her.
I remained there, staring at them as they ascended the stairs.
More tears flowed as my heart tightened more.
I got on my feet, sniffling as I continued staring at the direction they took.
I lowered my gaze, sobbing silently. I walked towards the entrance door, sobbing painfully as I walked out of the door.
HOURS LATER
My phone rang out. I wiped my tears, sniffling as I picked up my phone on the table.
I am currently in a fast food joint filled with people moving in and out. I am seated alone at a table with a meal in front of me which I have barely touched.
I can't even go home.
I will surely break down once I get home. Then I will fall sick.
I can't afford that right now.
I looked at the dialer. It was Mary.
She probably wants to ask me how it went with Axel.
I don't really want to talk to her about it. I put down my phone and stared at my barely touched meal.
I have been here for two hours now. It will soon get dark, and I still don't have the courage to go home.
Everything is just going down for me.
My job.
My relationship.
God, I feel terrible.
I ran my fingers through my hair softly.
Why is all this happening to me? Why?
I relaxed in my seat, staring up at the wooden ceiling as tears rolled down the sides of my eyes.
My heart feels weak right now.
It feels numb.
My phone beeped. I looked at it and I picked it up.
I got a voice text from my mom. I sat up straight and I clicked the text.
"Mia, where are you? Closed already? I need tampons and painkillers. I don't have any money. Get them for me ASAP."
The text ended.
I heaved a sigh as I opened my bag and put my phone into it. Zipping up my bag, I got on my feet and headed out.
AN HOUR LATER
I got to my mother's place and it was already dark. I walked towards the red entrance door with a bag that had the things she asked me to buy in it.
Her place is a simple bungalow with flower pots on both sides. I used to play around the house and plant flowers as well.
But everything changed when....
The door opened instantly, revealing my little stepsister, Victoria.
She smiled up at me.
I smiled too. "Vicky,"
"Mia!" she squealed happily and hugged my legs.
I chuckled, leaning down and hugged her tightly.
"I knew you would come," she said, wrapping me tightly. "I missed you,"
"Me too, Vicky." I said.
We unwrapped each other and I took out her favorite snack from the bag.
She gasped happily.
I handed it to her and she took it.
"Chocolate chips. Thank you, Mia,"
I smiled.
Thanks to her, I am able to smile today.
I got on my feet, and we walked into the house.
"Where is mom?" I asked as I closed the door behind me while looking around my childhood home.
"She is in...."
"Victoria," George, my stepfather, called, getting our attention.
My heart picked up as I stared at him.
