Chapter 1: The Antidote Emily's POV
"Emily! Let's switch positions, you get on top..."
The person speaking was Evan Caine, my sponsor who was three years older than me.
At this moment, he was like a lioness in heat, pinned beneath me.
I was completely naked, my cheeks burning.
Yet my body moved uncontrollably to meet his, letting out soft moans.
After harboring a secret crush on Evan for ten years, I was finally doing intimate things with him. I was incredibly happy, even fantasizing about our married life.
Although at this moment I was merely Evan's antidote, thinking about how Evan had just been holding me, rolling from the bar counter to the bathroom to the couch and finally to the bed, exhausting all his strength yet still wanting more.
I believed Evan loved me.
Accompanied by a muffled grunt, Evan withdrew from my body. Before I could recover from the tenderness, a pair of warm palms grabbed my arms and threw me onto the cold floor.
"Ah!"
I cried out in surprise, staring at Evan's suddenly dark eyes, curling into a ball with my arms wrapped around my knees.
"Emily! You almost suffocated me!"
Evan's voice carried an icy coldness that made my body tremble. I lowered my head in embarrassment.
I was indeed very fat. Recently, because Evan's childhood sweetheart was returning to the country, I had been binge eating even more, my weight nearly exceeding two hundred pounds.
"Emily, you're eighteen now. This... this wasn't your first time, was it?"
I nodded, then shook my head.
The nod was to confirm to Evan that I was twenty years old; the shake was because I was afraid Evan would think I wasn't professional enough.
But this was my first time.
Since I was five, I had lived with my father, who was the operations director, at the Caine family estate.
When I was thirteen, my father, while testing a dynamic braking system on a mountain road that suddenly became rainy, got into an accident with Evan's father, Arthur Caine, and died.
Arthur Caine only suffered minor external injuries, so public opinion fermented quickly.
Not only was there serious questioning of the group's new technology, but some media even suggested the Caine family was involved in murder.
To stabilize the group's reputation and stock price, Evan's father made a high-profile announcement that he would sponsor me, with Evan as the sponsor!
I knew this was Arthur Caine paving the way for his heir, but as an orphan who had lost both parents, where could I go?
So I chose to stay, also for Evan's sake.
But losing family members is painful and prolonged. Somehow, I built this emotion around food; only by eating voraciously could I feel a little better.
So much so that without realizing it, I had become fat.
Evan was buttoning his shirt. When he turned to look at me, he only saw me shaking my head, and he breathed a sigh of relief.
"That's good!"
Evan walked up to me, grabbed the bathrobe draped over the foot of the bed, and covered my body with it.
I had the illusion that Evan didn't want to see my ugly, obese body!
But the next second, I thought maybe Evan was worried I'd catch cold, after all, when he entered my body just now, he had called me baby.
"The sponsorship has lasted five years, so Emily, you should understand what consequences the Caine family will face if today's events become known to the outside world?"
I pressed my lips together and nodded gently.
"Don't worry, Evan. I won't tell anyone about what happened today."
"That's good, Emily. Let's just pretend nothing happened today and continue as before, okay?"
Evan raised his hand and patted my head, just like when we were children.
"Okay!"
Seeing how obedient I was, Evan suddenly withdrew his hand.
"Then clean yourself up and go home. I have a party tonight."
Evan didn't look at me. He just glanced at his phone and left without looking back, slamming the door.
In the empty suite, only I remained, wrapped in the bathrobe. I sat on the floor for a long time without getting up, staring at every corner of the hotel room, savoring everything that had just happened with Evan.
Evan's clearly defined muscles and the special cigar scent on his body made me involuntarily squeeze my legs together.
After leaving the hotel where Evan and I had been intimate, when I arrived at the Caine estate, the sky had completely darkened.
I had just returned to my bedroom, preparing to take a shower, when the phone suddenly rang.
I picked it up and saw it was Evan.
Through the phone screen, I could clearly see my own flushed cheeks. Taking a deep breath, I quickly answered the call.
"Emily, where are you?"
Evan's side was very noisy, accompanied by bursts of laughter.
"Evan, I just got home! I'm... getting ready to shower."
Evan's voice seemed to carry an electric current. My heart inexplicably began to race, that feeling was like being in love.
"Emily! My cufflink seems to have fallen at the hotel. Can you go back and look for it? You know if the servants tell Dad I came home disheveled, it would be a disaster for me."
"Of course, Evan. It's my fault for being careless and not checking carefully when checking out."
"Then go!"
Evan didn't seem to hear my explanation, just urged me anxiously, then hung up the phone.
Having lived in the Caine family for over ten years, I didn't doubt Evan's words, because Arthur Caine had always been a very strict person, especially about appearances.
I didn't hesitate for a moment, put on my shoes, grabbed my bag and left. To prevent others from knowing about this, I even chose to take a taxi.
Before I reached the hotel, it started to rain heavily. I suddenly remembered the weather alert on my phone—there would be a hurricane tonight.
Fortunately, the suite hadn't been cleaned after checkout yet, and soon I found the diamond cufflink engraved with the family crest under the corner of the bed.
When I walked out of the hotel again, the storm was mixed with strong winds, and there were no pedestrians left on the road.
"Respected Miss! The hurricane is getting stronger and stronger, visibility is gone, the trees on the roadside are swaying precariously—it's very dangerous!"
The hotel manager was somehow standing behind me. I remembered that yesterday when Evan and I checked in, he was the one who received us.
I felt a bit embarrassed. "Yes, but I have something very important to do."
I took out my phone and navigated to the address Evan had sent me.
"Thank God, it's only three kilometers!"
I mustered my courage and looked at the hotel manager. "Could you send a driver to take me to this place? I'll pay five times the price."
This hotel was originally a top-tier club, and the private car service was even more expensive. After hearing me say five times the price, the manager leaned over to look at the location on my phone, then looked at the weather outside.
He shrugged.
"Miss! Then I'll help you out."
A smile appeared on my face. Thinking that Evan wouldn't be scolded, my anxious heart also relaxed.
The manager drove very well. In about ten minutes, he dropped me off at a secret bar in the city center.
Because of my body size, I had never been to a bar, let alone dared to set foot in such high-end private places for the wealthy.
Steeling myself, I avoided every strange look and finally found the room number from Evan's message.
I tidied up my disheveled appearance, tugging at my rain-soaked clothes. My hand had just risen halfway when a burst of laughter came from the private room.
"Evan! In this kind of hellish weather, unless Emily is an idiot, there's no way she'll come."
"No, no, no! Based on my understanding of her, Emily will soon appear before us like a dog with Evan's cufflink, trying to please us."
Hahaha!
"You're right! A fat pig is a fat pig. Even if Evan mistakenly consumed her, she's not worthy of being the main course."
