He woke up to his door already open.

Not broken open unlocked, pushed wide, the morning corridor light falling across the floor of Room 0-4 in a long pale rectangle. His footlocker was untouched. The window was closed. Nothing taken, nothing disturbed.

Just the door.

Open.

And a single Cry...
