Chapter 5 : I Am Attracted To Them

Chapter 5: I Am Attracted To Them

Sophie

Finally, Luciano selected a book and settled at the table. He had ordered a coffee early and I stuttered again but he didn't make fun of me. He waited patiently, letting me speak and then ordered in that deep dark sexy voice of his which made shivers run down my spine. They had that edge in them, like an edge of a newly sharped knife. It looks pretty but it is sharp enough to draw blood. That was what they felt like, newly sharped deadly knives with fancy pretty handles and everything. Good to look, deadly to touch.

I tore my eyes away from him and sat down on the chair I had set up. Only I was here, the other staff was at the back making drinks. I closed my eyes, trying to relax just a little. It was good that my classes were never supper early, if that had been the case, I would never be able to do this job. The door opened, indicating the presence of a customer. I sighed and stood up, lifting my eyes and they fell on the two men who had entered the cafe. Adriano and Angelo. Why are they here? It didn't make sense. They walked to me and I braced myself.

“R..red eyes?” I asked,  that was what they had ordered last time and what Luciano had ordered early. A smirk came upon Adriano’s lips.

“Yes…” his eyes traveled to the name that had been embroidered into the t-shirt I was wearing. Every employee had that.

“Sophie,” I shiver at the way my name rolled out of his mouth. I took my bottom lip into my mouth. Why did they have this effect on me?

I nodded, licking my lip and smiled, typing away on the touchscreen in front of me.

“I..it will be ready soon.” I was doing good so far, just two stutters. Angelo looked down at the showcase.

“What do you recommend, princess? I want to eat something..” His dark eyes flew over me, doing a scan on me. Thank goodness that I was behind the counter, they could have noticed me pressing my thighs together, trying to get the heat at my center that was caused by their presence and the nickname to stop.

“Sweet,” he said and I gulped, threading my shaking fingers together on the counter.

“T..the c..c..” I let out a little breath and unlocked the little flip board which allowed me to walk out behind the counter.

I stood beside him and pointed at the chocolate cupcake which had frosting and sprinkled sugar on the top of it. It was my favorite. I blinked up at him, realizing how close he was and I could feel his brother’s eyes on me too. My nervousness was roaring in my head. Angelo didn't comment on how nervous I knew I appeared standing between their two bodies.

“Three of them for us.” I nodded with a small smile and walked back behind the counter.

“T..to go?” I asked quietly.

“No, we are going to eat here?” Adriano replied.

Are they kidding me? They made me squirm too much, I was always nervous but they just heightened it. They also made me feel warm and I knew my face had become red like a tomato as Luciano had entered. I quietly got them their coffee and cupcakes and handled the tray to Adriano, his fingers brushing with mine and sending the same electric shock throughout my body. They walked away and I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. They stayed in the cafe until it was a few minutes before my shift ended.

In my apartment that night, I again watched their car pass by in front of my apartment. It didn't make sense, the cafe is quite far from the town and they live in the richest part of the city and there are so many fancy cafes over there. Why did they choose this one?

I would be lying if I said I wasn't attracted to them, which one? I didn't know. I had thought long and hard about which one looked the best until I just couldn't compare. I was sitting on the bench in the central park, looking through the tabloid in my hands which was talking about the Rizzo's. I knew it was just a gossip thing but I just grabbed it as soon as I saw their pictures on the cover. It talked about their love life or lack of it. The writer of the article, which I am sure was a lady, believed that they had secret girls in their life that they didn't want to endanger because of their dangerous connection with the mafia so they kept them locked away. I wondered how they dealt with all these rumors and the tabloid. I was a little famous enough to be written articles about but not as much as them. I closed the tabloid.

“Interesting article, isn't it, little bunny?” I flinched at the voice, the magazine falling from my hands as I looked up at the three dangerous men standing in front of me. Adriano was in front and the other two were behind him. Are you kidding? They are everywhere I go.

I looked at them wide-eyed and embarrassed. I couldn't pretend that I didn't know that the tabloid had stuff about them, their pictures were on the cover.

“I..” What was even supposed to say?

Angelo bent down to pick the magazine up. I shot up, trying to grab it from his hand but he lifted it above his head, raising an eyebrow at me.

“It is mine, give it back.”

It would be so embarrassing if they read it, I tried to grab it again, jumping up but I lost my balance and crashed onto his body. His arm wrapped around me to keep me from falling. I froze, I was in his arms. I looked up at him, and he was smirking. My heart is thundering, his expensive smelling cologne filling my nose. He wrapped his other arm around me, keeping his eyes on mine and picked me up. I gasped in surprise, he sat me down on the bench and I instantly pulled away. My cheeks flushed and hands trembled.

“I..I am sorry.” I whispered, ducking my head. This was so embarrassing.

“Look up, kitten.” Adriano commend. Fuck, could they stop with the nicknames? I am seriously squirming here.

Taking a shaky breath, I looked up. They were standing in front of me, Adriano was flipping through the pages, his smirk widened and I bit down on my bottom lip.

“I have to go.” I mumbled, grabbing my bag and standing up.

Their eyes fell on the little cleavage my dress showed. My breasts weren't that small, so my cleavage was visible and I blushed furiously. They didn't say anything as I began to walk away.

“By the way, princess.” I heard Angelo’s voice.

“We don't have anyone locked away.” I looked over my shoulder at them and he winked. I ran away.
