Elena's POV

When Zack rushed toward me, the Bloodclaw guards stopped him.

He didn't resist.

He only looked at me, his eyes terrifyingly red.

"Elena."

I stood inside the boundary line, looking at him calmly.

Five years.

He had finally found me.

But it was too late.

"You're alive." His voice caught. "...
