It has been a decade since our world was forever changed, leaving behind the familiar and plunging us into a new reality. The world as we once knew it has vanished, just like in the movie Planet of the Apes.

My current pet is utterly useless; she does absolutely nothing for me. All she does is cry or whine. She's like all of the others. There's no fear or passion in her eyes because they are clouded by the desire for luxuries that being a pet can provide.

"Any connection to the docs? They're the ones who unleashed my darkness when they cured my cancer," I sneer. 

Alec nods, confirming, "Yeah, their daughter."

I chuckle, "Well, that should be entertaining. I want her alive." She used to be a teenager, but now she's a woman.

As I delve into her file, I discover that she is the doctor’s daughter. Now, I am considering the possibility of making her my pet instead. Her feisty nature presents an exciting challenge that I am eager to take on. I will take her and take immense pleasure in doing so.
