Chapter 6 This Girl Is Actually a Member of the Windsor Family!
Everyone: What on earth is this girl talking about?
Does she even know who Gavin is? He's a top doctor who examines high-ranking officials!
Does she think she can just contact him whenever she wants?
The nurse sneered, "If you can actually reach Gavin, I'll kowtow and apologize to you."
"Kids these days, seriously. My son also says he's a superhero."
"Stop wasting time with her. Just throw her out and let her reflect on this at the police station."
Catherine took out her phone in front of everyone and dialed a number.
A nearby doctor scoffed.
"She's just randomly pressing numbers. If she's going to fake it, she should at least save a contact named Gavin first."
Catherine was speechless.
Why would she save his number when he's not even important?
She only remembered this number because he'd called so many times.
The call was answered quickly.
Catherine put it on speaker.
"This is Catherine. There's a problem with the medication you prescribed."
A vigorous male voice came through: "You've finally decided to join our lab? Wait, what did you say?"
"I'm at Bright Heal Hospital in Imperia City. The medication you prescribed for a hypertensive heart disease patient contains licorice tablets."
Gavin slapped his forehead: "Right, right, I did prescribe licorice tablets for a patient, but only once, with strictly controlled dosage."
"You prescribed it five times. The patient is dead."
Gavin: "Impossible! I have the prescription here. I only signed off once, for the patient in bed 8. Their blood pressure couldn't handle too much licorice!"
Catherine said flatly: "So you made a mistake."
Gavin rushed to say on the other end: "Fine, I made a mistake. If you're willing to join our lab—"
"Your lab has no future. Not interested."
After saying this, she asked: "Who are you again?"
The other end was clearly stunned: "Gavin!"
After Gavin stated his name, Catherine hung up.
Gavin stood there holding his phone, completely dazed.
Wait a minute!
How could the medication for bed 8 be wrong? And someone died!
He had to get to Bright Heal Hospital in Imperia City immediately, or this would become a huge problem.
Plus, he might actually get to meet Catherine!
Back at the hospital, Catherine, having hung up, raised her chin slightly and looked at the nurse.
"You said you'd kneel before me?"
That really was Gavin's voice!
And he kept inviting this young girl to join his lab!
All the medical staff were stunned.
This was a pivotal figure in the medical field, and he just admitted to prescribing the wrong medication!
If this got out, the entire medical community would be shaken.
The nurse's face flushed. She stiffened her neck: "Even if Gavin admits it, who knows whose kid you are? Clearly no manners!"
Catherine stood there, her cool gaze meeting Marcus's eyes.
Just standing there, he radiated an authority that made people afraid to look directly at him.
The aura of someone long in power surrounded Marcus—even a single glance carried an aristocratic dignity that was hard to bear.
Catherine met his gaze and pointed.
"His."
The nurse fell silent.
This girl was claiming to be Marcus's child!
How ridiculous!
How could she possibly be Marcus's child?
"Young lady, you can't just say things like that."
Catherine's expression was calm, her face as peaceful as a painting, without a ripple.
She locked eyes with Marcus.
In that moment, Marcus suddenly felt a bit dazed!
From the first glance at Catherine, he knew she must be his granddaughter. Those eyes were exactly like the children at home.
Catherine looked very much like his daughter-in-law Aurora Martinez did when she was young, with traces of someone else he found strangely familiar in her features.
More composed and reserved, elegant and poised!
Marcus was more and more pleased the more he looked.
The medical staff were still clamoring to throw Catherine out.
"Mr. Windsor, this woman must be a spy trying to harm you!"
"There's definitely something wrong. I'll contact security right away."
Marcus raised his hand and pressed down. Everyone immediately fell silent.
He beckoned to Catherine.
"Call me Grandpa."
Catherine complied, walking over to stand beside Marcus.
"Grandpa."
"Good that you're back."
Marcus's gaze swept over the medical staff, and the smile on his face immediately vanished.
"My granddaughter, and you dare to criticize her? Who said they'd arrest her? I think you're the real spies!"
The medical staff never expected Catherine to actually be Marcus's granddaughter!
So just now, in front of Marcus, they'd said the Windsor family had poor upbringing and bullied someone from the Windsor family?
At this thought, everyone's legs went weak!
"Mr. Windsor, we didn't mean it that way."
Marcus waved his hand: "Someone will deal with you about this!"
Everyone understood what that meant.
They all looked dejected, staring at Catherine behind Marcus.
The woman sat on the ground, her aged face covered in tears, looking at Catherine gratefully.
Catherine looked at her and said calmly: "Someone will help you. Don't worry."
The woman nodded vigorously, covered her face, and began to cry. She knew she wasn't wrong!
Marcus turned around and handed Catherine the prescription in his hand. "Take a look for me. Is there anything in my prescription that shouldn't be there?"
Catherine didn't miss it—when she took the prescription, one doctor's expression became tense.
The nurse who had argued with her also imperceptibly took a step back.
Catherine raised an eyebrow: "Grandpa, quite a few people want you dead. You're not very popular."
Marcus fell silent.
In all these years, this was the first time someone dared to speak to him like this!
If it were one of the grandsons at home, his slap would have already landed!
But girls were different. You couldn't hit girls.
Marcus held back and retorted: "Your popularity isn't much better."
Catherine thought to herself that besides having heart disease, Marcus might also have some mental issues.
Marcus's hospital room was a private suite with facilities set to the highest standards, medications that went through multiple checks, and the highest level medical team.
This team also cared for many other important figures in Stellara.
If there was a problem with Marcus's team, other areas would need to be checked too.
Marcus deliberately asked: "What do you think should be done?"
Catherine tilted her chin up and said coolly: "Didn't they say it themselves? They're all spies. Arrest them."
Everyone's legs trembled with fear.
Marcus nodded, his gaze cold.
"Fine. Do as you say."
The medical staff were taken away for investigation. The woman who had caused the disturbance saw hope and obediently went with the police.
Catherine's phone lit up with an encrypted number flashing.
"I need to take a call."
Marcus knew young people these days had their secrets and didn't restrict her.
"Go ahead."
Catherine nodded and walked to the hospital corridor to answer.
Her phone had been modified by her, so she didn't need to worry about being monitored.
The call from Tranquilwave Ocean was exceptionally clear.
"Boss, new assignment on the dark web. They specifically requested you. The offer is one hundred million US dollars."
No wonder her people were excited about this price.
Catherine's voice was calm as she lowered her eyes. "Target."
"Stellara's general, Marcus. Currently at Bright Heal Hospital in Imperia City."
