Chapter 3 Mine

My eyes snapped open, making me stand up almost instantly, or at least I tried to before I was yanked back.

“save yourself the trouble love, you would not want to hurt yourself now, would you?” his voice sent a chill down my spine.

“Where the hell am i?” I asked, looking around and trying to stand up again before the chains aggressively pulled me down.

The place was cold, like I was in some sort of prison with an iron barred gate standing in between the two of us. “ I said, you should be careful!” he said, giving me this concerned voice I knew was only for show.

I nearly rolled my eyes, but I was more concerned about where the hell I was. “well that was not very nice. I cared for you and you do not even seem to..”

“I swear to the goddess Aldrich!!!” I yelled, yanking the chains that held my wrist while I tried to get nearer to him.

My whole body hurt, most especially my neck. It felt as though I had been hit by a rock from the inside out.

“let me make something straight for you, you are mine. There is nothing and you are no one without me. If you would not behave then you will stay here.”

He looked at me one last time. “you have a lovely night, mate.” I watched him turn to leave.

“w-wait!!” my voice cracked as I called for him. He stopped, turning his face slightly to me to show that he was listening. “Masha. She is all alone and… please. I can’t leave her” I moved closer to the bars,  moving as close as the bar would let me before it yanked me back. “she has no one but me at the moment, I can’t just let her b-be” my voice cracked, hoping that he would at least let me go for her sake.

“then you should have thought about that before you decided you were going to reject me” he walked out the cell, slamming the door behind him. I was left with my thoughts, fighting the tears not to fall as I stood up.

“please!! She can’t be alone at the moment, not now!! I am all she has!!”  I screamed, sliding down the door as my legs gave out from under me. She was going to turn anytime soon, I had to be there for her for when she had the thirst. 

I sat on the floor for what felt like hours, the dripping of water sound almost making me run mad before the door opened again.

It was not my mate, it was someone who looked like a guard?

“a meal for you” he said, sliding the food into my cell like I was some caged animal

“please” I called, stopping him from going forward. “the chains, they hurt” I bit my lower lips, hoping that he would take the bait.

He looked around as though he was checking for someone.

“please don’t tell anyone I helped you” he said, looking around again before he came close to me.

I almost felt sorry for him, looking at him with pity as he approached me.

He entered, taking my chains and loosened them. “I am sorry” I said, snapping his neck before he could even process the words that came out of my mouth.

“I have to get out” I placed the chains on his wrist before I ran out, rushing like my life depended on it, because it felt like it did in that moment.

I did not look back. I broke out into a run, deciding I was going to get the hell out of this place before I thought about anything else.

I increased my speed. My whole body feeling like it had gone through a train wreck and at the moment, the forceful marking was making it difficult for my vampire side to take over so that I could actually race out of this place. 

“Bastard!” I cursed out for him doing this to me.

I was not watching where I was going, colliding head first into something.

The sparks shot up my arms as I landed on the floor, and for a split second, my vampire side threatened to continue surface but it was weakened by the bite, my body went into fight mode as I stood up . “I am sorry” I blinked, there was no way I had heared right.

I looked at the man in front of me, feeling every bit of relief that it was not Aldrich that was standing in front of me.

‘but that did not make sense, I could have sworn that there were sparks, and my other side did something that it never even did when I was around Aldrich’ I thought to myself, looking at the man for a few more minutes.

“what is your name beloved” the man said, coming closer to me as I took one step back.

I looked around, hoping that I had not drawn any attention to myself. “Look, I am not in the mood for this, I will see you… nah I won’t” I said, jumping out the window to see that I was surrounded.

I took a step back. The wolves were on every side of the room, making me want to crawl back into that cage they had kept me and keep the chains back on me myself.

“where the fuck do you think you are going?” Aldrich said through a mindlink, taking a step towards me “I have been very patient with you Adrelle” he shifted, taking these predatory steps towards me, but I was tired of being scared. It was either he took me down with him this moment, or I was going to kill him.

I tried to crack my neck, the mark throbbed even more, reminding me again that I was very much his puppet to do as he pleased with me.

“you know I am surprised you waited this long to show me this part of your little bitchy self. I mean..” I scoffed. “a whole year and not once did I think you were this much  a bastard!!” I saw his left eye twitch in annoyance.

“I was the perfect gentleman to you love, don’t put this on me” he circled me like the predator that he was.

“i really hope you eat ass and die” I spat, making him lunge at him, I had little time to escape before someone’s voice interrupted, making the atmosphere drop into a bone chilling temperature.

“what the hell are you doing to my beloved”
