Chapter 5 Sleep with me
Elissa
I laughed, "Wow, really?" I said it like I was being sarcastic and teasing him.
He winked, "It's clear your social background isn't normal either."
I told him shrugging my shoulders, "Actually, I'm very normal. Less than normal." Then I started laughing.
They thought I had billions or something. My family was socially known, but not at the highest level. There were people way above us. But my dad had a lot of good connections and was very well-liked.
Anyway, I said, "Excuse me, my friends are waiting." I gave him my number, took his, and started to leave.
Before I could walk away, he stopped me again. "You still didn't tell me where you're going."
I said, "We're going shopping at the mall near the university. Then we'll have lunch at the Grand Hotel, sit at the bar for a bit. Is that a problem? I'm 18, after all."
He said, "But you shouldn't go there alone. I'm well-known there. You don't have to drink or anything."
Then he asked, "Do you want me to come with you?"
I said, "Excuse me, I really have to go now." And I left him.
The girls started teasing me. "What? He's totally into you. What is this?"
I told them, "Come on, girls. Let's go. Get in my car."
One of them had her own car, but they all jumped in with me when they saw mine. They said, "Wow, this car costs millions. You're so cool. We have to be real friends now."
We all got in my car. One girl rode in the back, and another followed us in her car. We drove to the closest mall next to the hotel.
Honestly, I wasn't planning to buy anything. We just hung out, joked around, and had fun. Then we went into a store because Sarah wanted to buy a watch.
She said, "Come with me. Let's get a nice watch or something from this brand. Something cute with a good price."
We walked in. Sarah looked a bit young and small. The saleslady looked surprised at us and asked her, "Do you have money to pay for it?"
I raised my hand quickly to show her the expensive watch I was wearing. "Can't you see this? If she's with me, she'll pay."
The lady looked at me and said, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean anything."
I told the group, "Okay, everyone, pick whatever you want. And don't worry about me getting annoyed today. No problem at all."
While we were doing that, I suddenly noticed the teaching assistant from the university walking in from behind us. I had totally forgotten his name.
He said, "No, pick whatever you want. I'll pay for everything."
He pointed at a big heart-shaped diamond necklace. I think it probably cost over a million dollars. It was clear he was well-known.
The saleslady said, "Yes, sir." She took it out and tried to put it on me.
I pushed his hand away. "What are you doing? Who told you I want this chain? And who said I need your money? Are you trying to show off and get attention? You think I'm into you or something? I mean, yeah, you do attract me, but I'm ready to pay for my own stuff. What you're doing is wrong. You're supposed to be my teacher at the university."
He said, "I already told you, I'm not just an employee. No one can do anything to me."
I said, "Please, I need to leave now."
I pulled out my card to pay for the things the girls liked. He grabbed my hand and said, "No, I'll pay."
I pushed his hand again, but before I could say more, he pulled his hand back like he was annoyed. He told the staff, "She doesn't need anyone to pay for her. Anyway, this whole mall belongs to me, and she's under my protection."
They arranged all the items neatly and said, "At your service, sir."
It turned out he really was the owner of the mall. The manager, the secretary, and a bunch of guards in black suits started following him. It looked like he knew every move I made.
I looked at him in shock. "I don't want you to invite me anywhere or buy me anything. I have my own money. Just stay away from me."
I was fuming as we walked out. I was so annoyed and fed up with these crazy people.
The girls whispered, "Do you know who the owner of this mall is? He's very famous. His dad is the governor of the city. He's known as a powerful cop who handles big cases. Everyone is scared of him."
I thought, "These are the kind of people you should be afraid of." But I wasn't scared. I was just confused. I wanted to understand what was happening.
Suddenly these two guys were fighting over me, and I was shocked. I wasn't afraid of them — I was just trying to figure out why they both liked me out of nowhere.
We went to the bar and sat down. The main plan was to have lunch, so we ordered food and some light drinks on the side. We ate, joked, laughed, and drank a little. We weren't trying to get drunk — just having fun.
Then I saw him walk in again. He sat at the table right next to ours. He was probably talking about business or work with some people, but his eyes stayed on me the whole time. He kept drinking and staring at me. It got to the point where I couldn't take it anymore.
I stood up from my chair, walked straight over to him, and covered his face with my hand.
The people with him looked shocked. It was obvious they were important businessmen from their faces.
I told him, "I want to understand. Why do you keep staring at me like this? If you don't tell me exactly what you want from me, I might kiss you right now in front of everyone."
He put his hand behind my waist and pulled me close until his lips were almost touching mine.
He whispered, "Don't kiss me in front of all these people. You think I'll get embarrassed?"
I pushed his hand away and walked off. He laughed with a wide smile on the side, like I had impressed him.
I sat back down, still annoyed. He kept staring at me and smiling, teasing me with that grin.
Then he sent me a text message: "What if I told you I want to sleep with you right now?"
I texted back: "Yeah, I would come. But on one condition — there won't be anything between us, and don't fall in love with me."
