Chapter 4 Who I'd he
Elissa's POV
Yeah, I was really surprised at first. But honestly, it made sense.
I liked him. I liked his boldness. I liked how he looked. I liked his presence and the way he carried himself.
I felt like he was completely different from anyone else I'd ever met. He was so confident in himself. I could say henry had it all together — a personality I actually liked.
He had the looks, the height, the build, and that strong, handsome face. But what really got me was how different he felt. Any girl would dream of a guy like him. Seriously, who wouldn't?
But in my head, all I wanted was something simple. I just wanted to date someone, maybe sleep with him, and keep it casual. I was still a virgin, after all. I didn't want to waste time on love and all that empty talk. That stuff was heavy in my mind, especially since I had just turned 18. I wasn't looking for anything serious.
Still, I couldn't get him out of my head. I kept thinking about him. Then I told myself, ‘Okay, fine. He has my number now. That means someone gave it to him, and he's probably going to keep watching me and trying to play games.’
So I decided: If he's going to play with me, then I'll play with him too. We could hang out for a while, have some fun, sleep together, build a little relationship, and then go our separate ways. No big deal. That was my plan.
That day felt really strange, to be honest and the weirdest part was this funny moment when three girls suddenly stopped me.
They said, "Your body is so nice. Your voice is pretty, and your face is really beautiful." Their eyes were wide, like they were amazed by me. Their social level was clear — normal, not poor or anything. But because my body was athletic and toned from working out, it stood out. It caught most people's attention.
I got to know them. The first one said, "I'm Sarah." Sarah was dark-skinned, short, and slim, but her style was really cool and different. The second one was tall and slim, with long hair and blonde streaks. Her body looked like a model's — perfect. The third one was a bit chubby, with bright blonde hair and really fair skin. Her laugh was beautiful.
We joked around a little and became friends fast, like we'd known each other for years.
Then they started asking me questions. "Tell us, you caught everyone's eye here — the guys and the boys. Is there someone in your life or not?"
I told them, "No, there's no one. I'm not thinking about that stuff right now."
At the end of the day, I liked playing games. I enjoyed playing with people's hearts around me. But I didn't like falling in love or getting serious with anyone.
They looked a little surprised, but it was obvious they took me as one of them now. Especially when we walked into the lecture hall.
Our teaching assistant was there. He was a bit older than us — maybe six or seven years. He wore a nice suit and looked good, to be honest. The moment I sat down, he kept staring at me. He even took off his glasses just to look harder, like he knew me from somewhere or had fallen in love at first sight, the way people say.
I liked him too, but not enough to fall hard or anything. He was just a good-looking guy. I was sitting at my desk in the front at first, and I really noticed him.
Then, out of nowhere during the hundreds of lectures I'd sat through, he suddenly walked over to my desk. He knocked on it lightly while I was holding my phone, right before he started explaining anything.
He asked me curiously, "What's your name?"
I said, "Elissa."
He asked me politely, "Can you come to my office after the lecture?"
I asked confused a bit, "Did I do something wrong? Is there a problem? This is my first day."
He instantly said, "No, but it's clear you haven't been here the past few days. This is the first time I've seen you."
I told him, "Yeah, that's true. I was traveling and just got back."
He repeatedly asked, "Okay, can you still come see me after the lecture? I need to talk to you."
I nodded "Okay, but I don't know where your office is yet."
He smiled, "Don't worry, I'll show you."
The girls sitting next to me started whispering, "What? He likes you. All the girls would die for him, and he's into you."
I didn't know what to think. He seemed like a normal person to me.
They said, "Fine, come with us after. Let's go shopping today and have lunch outside. It'll be fun since it's our first day knowing each other."
I said, "Okay, I have no problem with that. Let's go."
I added, "If you want, there's this nice bar and restaurant in a hotel I'm used to going to. They also have a power hour. We can go drink a little. We're kind of known there."
They looked shocked. "Wait, are you a rich heiress or from one of those well-known families?"
I said, "Not that rich, but my dad is pretty known there." I didn't want to scare them or anything. I still didn't know their background — what their family life or social level was like. Were we on the same level or not?
We finished the lecture, and I completely forgot that the teaching assistant was probably waiting for me. He came close to my ear and said quietly, "You were about to forget to come to my office."
I said, "Oh, I'm sorry. My friends and I are going to have lunch and do some shopping outside."
He asked, "Where are you going?" He kept asking questions like he cared.
He said, "I don't mean to get into your life, but I feel like you're a bit different. Someone might try to mess with you or flirt with you. You're really noticeable — even your clothes, your body, everything stands out."
His eyes roamed my body hungrily.
I asked him straight, "What exactly do you want?"
He said, "Why are you calling me 'sir'? The age difference between us isn't that big. Maybe six or seven years."
I said, "Yeah, so what do you want? Why are you talking to me?"
He explained, "Because you look different. Your style is different. Your social level feels different. I have a feeling someone might bother you at the university. So I wanted to tell you — if anyone tries to mess with you, come to me. I'll give you my number, and you give me yours. Call me anytime, and I'll come right away. Don't worry. I'm not just a regular guy. I'm not just a teaching assistant who gives lectures and goes home. I'm from a well-known family. My word means something, and people are careful around me."
I joked with him, "You're making me feel like you're the president of the university or the owner."
He leaned in closer to my face and said, "I have shares in this university too. You could say I'm a partner here."
