Chapter 3
Her Mate
“I can’t go through any more pain.” She whispered. “Please.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” He spit at her.
“Why are you doing this? You’ve known since you were sixteen and yet you’ve NEVER shown any compassion. You are supposed to be MY mate!! Not hers,” she pointed at Sara. She lifted her shirt along with the sleeves, “these black marks are because of YOU!!!” She yelled.
“I’ve done nothing.” He scoffed. “You’re delusional.”
“Wait,” Beta David shook his head, “are you saying that Alpha Mason is your mate?”
“Yes, he is my mate.” She sobbed.
“That’s impossible,” Sara huffed, “he is MY mate. Why are you doing this?” She asked. Before LaRea could respond, Sara continued, “oh, I get it, you want to be Luna.”
“There is only one female who will be my Luna,” Mason said narrowing his eyes at LaRea, “that is Sara.” He pulled her to chest and inhaled her scent. Jake growled from the depths of Mason’s mind.
“Why do you deny our Goddess given bond?” LaRea asked.
“Because you are not worth...” he started but his wolf surfaced.
“She is worth more than that female you have hanging off your arm. Our TRUE mate is special. If you reject her, it will affect our whole future. You will regret rejecting her.” Jake growled. “The Goddess has a plan for us, but you must accept her as our mate.”
“The only thing I would regret is not rejecting her.” Mason snapped back at his wolf.
“You reject our mate; you will not hear from me unless it has to do with our pack.” Jake warned.
“You wouldn’t do that!” Mason growled.
“Yes, I would. I would do anything to keep my true mate. You reject her and you will not hear form me. I will shift when I want to, even if it’s not convenient for you. So, you will hafta deal with it.
“What I don’t understand, is why you don’t want to accept my sister as your mate?” Tarby asked.
“Look at her.” Sara waved her hand up and down LaRea’s body.
“What’s wrong with her?” Tarby asked. “She’s a beautiful she-wolf, she smart, she’s kind, compassionate and the pack loves her.” He said.
“Oh please, just wait until they find out that she’s lying so she can gain a title she’s not supposed to have.” Sara shrugged.
“She’s a Beta born, if anyone is supposed to gain a higher title it would be her.” Tarby said. “Most Beta and Gamma’s are usually mated to an Alpha or Beta.”
“Okay, okay, whatever!” Mason snapped. “It doesn’t matter who’s mated to who, all that matters is that I do NOT want to be mated to LaRea.” He said. “She’s too young, she’s still in school, she has no idea what it means to be a Luna.” He explained his reasons.
“Dude you could wait for her.” Aden stated.
“No way! I am not waiting for anybody. Sara and I have already agreed to reject our mate and be chosen mates.” He shrugged.
“So, you admit that my sister is your mate?” Tarby titled his head and raised his eyebrow.
“No, I am not admitting to anything that I have nothing to admit to.” He stated.
“It doesn’t matter if he admits it or not because I don’t accept him.” LaRea said. “I don’t want someone who doesn’t want me. I deserve better than that.”
“You deserve to be in the dirt.” Sara said pushing LaRea down. “You better quit telling lies about you being Mason’s true mate.” Sara warned. “He’s, MY mate!” She growled at her. “I’m the one who’s going to be Luna!”
“You can have him!” LaRea said, pushing her way from them. “All I ask is that he reject me before you two go at it like rabbits. You may not care about anyone but yourselves, but I am tired of suffering while you two fuq your brains out.”
“You need to stop calling him your mate!” Sara snarled.
“I never said he was my mate.”
“What is going on here?” Alpha Byron asked.
“We have been waiting for you to show up, again.” he stated. “David, is there a problem?” He asked his Beta.
“Well, there seems to be a question as to who your son’s mate is or rather who it should be.” He explained.
“His mate should be his Moon gifted mate.” Byron answered. “Has my son found his Moon gifted mate?”
“It’s possible.” David twitched his lips.
“So, who is his possible mate?”
“My daughter.”
“LaRea? But she has no wolf.” Byron huffed.
“She does have a wolf.” Tarby reminded them.
“So, she says. We have no proof that she has a wolf, she won’t shift.” Sara rolled her eyes.
“The Goddess said that you are not worthy of seeing my true form.” Sabel scoffed.
“Oh, the Goddess said that?” Sara snorted.
“It doesn’t matter, we have a barbeque to attend, and we can discuss this mating issue tomorrow morning after breakfast.” Byron tells them.
“NO, there’s nothing to discuss,” Mason snaps. “Sara is my mate, she’s the one who will be my Luna and no one else.”
“Son...”
“No, dad!” Mason growled at his dad.
“Fine, if you want to accept Sara as your mate, then so be it but if she’s not your true mate then it can cause a lot of issues in the future.” Byron warned.
“Sara is the one I want.” Mason assured his father.
“So be it. We will have the ascension ceremony this weekend.”
“Then please, reject me before you have the ceremony and PLEASE stop fuqin’ around until you reject me.” LaRea stated.
“Will you quit saying that!” Sara growled.
“Then tell him to reject me and I will be more than glad to stop talking about it and saying it.”
“Tarby, take your sister home.” Beta David instructed his son. “I will deal with you when I get home.” He pointed at his daughter.
“Dad, I didn’t do anything.” She pleaded with him.
“You are lying about being mated to the future Alpha of the pack.” He reminded her.
“I am NOT lying!” She yelled.
“Go home! NOW!” He pointed.
