Chapter Four

KAIDA'S P.O.V.

Pain exploded as he sank his fangs in my sweet spot and a cry left my mouth. Tears rolled down my cheek, but I couldn't push him away. As soon as he pulled his fangs out, I pushed back with my leg, and he hit the wall with a thud.

“How could you?” I growled at him.

“You are mine!”

“I am not a property to be owned! Stay the hell away from me!” I growled at him and something in his expression changed, but I honestly didn't care “... I do not want you and I will never want you in my life!”

“Listen to me” He tried to reach me, but I growled at him as fury takes the best of me

“Get out! You put me in here as a form of punishment now get out!” I growled at him again before taking a seat in my cell.

I watched him leave and he shut the door. The dying urge to rip my skin off, but it was of no use, the bastard had marked me and no matter what I did I could now get rid of his mark, unless I'm marked by another.

I needed to get out of here, I rather be mated to a rogue that this bastard of a man, but I needed to wait and think I couldn't take rash decision just like that

Laying in a peaceful slumber I was suddenly interrupted at the door opened and two guards walked in, one with a tray of food and the other that stood far away with fear in his eyes

Serves him right

“She's incapable of doing a thing, don't be a girl, Ronald” The one with the food made fun of him but as he got closer to my cell he realized it was opened the entire time

I pushed the door so hard and it met with his face before the food spilled all over him and Ronald reached for the door, but I stopped him

“I… I have a wife and daughter please” I looked at him not sure what to do about him.

“Stay here and keep shut, if he wakes up…" I pointed at the unconscious guard, “... Knock him out and keep him quiet, if you don't keep shut we both know what's going down” He nodded immediately, and I walked out of the dungeon door.

I walked gently while keeping an eye out for any guard and to my surprise there was none, something wasn't right. I refused to let my guard down as I walked to the gate and just when I got to the gate I heard someone growling and immediately moved out of the way before the wolf pounced on me.

I fought them one after the other as I knocked them out, I didn't like the idea of killing someone, but something I just needed to. I pushed the last out against the gate and the gate fell to the ground, crushing the two on the other side.

I made my way out and realized the dungeon was actually behind the Alpha's mansion and I had a long way to get out of this place, I went back into the cell and swap my clothes for a female guard's and I walked out

The mansion is surrounded by tons of guards and servant, but I walked through them trying to act like I belong, I might have unknown strength and speed now, but I wasn't stupid enough to rage war against a pack of warriors because of an escape

“The dungeon has been bridged!” My heart skipping a beat as a guard yells and warriors blazed out while running to the dungeon gates and I pulled into a corner not wanting to be noticed.

I needed to get out here and fast. I made my way out of the mansion gate and I could hear the best of my heart as my eyes dawned on the people who were struggling to live their day-to-day lives.

How could he be so cruel?

Rumors have it that he had killed his parents when he was fifteen years old. His pack has been living in the slum and suffering and trying to survive while he was living in luxury provided by the people.

“Give it to us!” I heard someone laugh as a woman cried, and I looked to see two guards bullying a woman in her apple stands.

“I'm sorry, I have to feed my baby, she's sick and…" He slapped her against the face and without thinking I walked to him before throwing a punch that almost broke my finger.

“Leave her alone!” I growled at him.

“You little bitch!” I kicked the other before slamming their heads together, and they passed out, and I looked up to see the woman holding a sick baby.

“Don't let them bulky you that way” I pulled the bag of coins from the guards and hand it over to her

“Thank you… Thank you so much” She cried out.

“There she is!" I turned to see a group of warriors and I bolted.

I ran through the corners as fast as I could and slammed into a wall before leading myself to the woods. The warriors were now all over and my only way out was the fence. I looked at the gate that was now tight with warriors and let out a sigh.

I dived deeper into the woods making sure I was out of sight, even if my body screamed for me to head back as the mate bond pulled me, but I went against it, I refuse to stay with a man who treats people so cruelly

But what about the people? Won't you save them?

A little voice whispered in my head, and I was reminded by what I had just seen as I threw myself off the fence. I needed to come back for them, if not now, then later.

I walked away, but a figure walked out of the shadow and my eyes met with his which made my heart skipped a beat

“Let me…"

“Please don't leave” My heart came to a pause as I heard the softness of his voice and I couldn't believe it as I took a step back

“What?”

“Don't leave me, please” Now I was more confused than ever with the softness in his voice and eyes and the calm look he had on his face

“Why would a cruel man like you beg me to stay?”
