Chapter 4: You Dance Beautifully

Abigail

“I would like to be a stripper here.” I said, getting a little nervous. My palms felt sweaty, making me rub them together and wipe the excess sweat on my clothes.

“Oh, yes, of course. Sonia, why don't you go ahead and start getting ready for your shift and I will take Abigail to a private room for an audition. How does that sound?” Mabel replied as she looked at Sonia. My friend looked at me and I nodded, feeling comfortable with Mabel.

“Okay, I will be in the dressing room.” She nodded to Mabel.

“If you feel uncomfortable at any time, let Mabel know, alright?” She handed me the dress I was going to wear along with the heels.

I nodded, smiling at her as she walked away, and Mabel led me to the bathroom to change before taking me to the private room.

“Whenever you are ready.” She told me, sitting on one of the couches while I got on the stage in the middle of the room. I took a few deep breaths, calming myself down before telling her I was ready.

The music started and I let my mind free, holding the pole with one hand as I walked around it at a slow and sexual pace before lifting myself up to wrap my legs around it as it spun me around. I leaned my head back, using my right hand to caress my neck and moved my hand down to the valley of my breasts. Slowly my knees bent into a squat and my legs spread apart, making my dress go up a little and showing just a little bit of the center, making the audience want more. I then slid down to my knees and placed my hand on the ground in front of me, slowly leaning forwards and raising my ass as my back arched perfectly before the timer went off and Mabel smiled at me. I got off the stage, a little out of breath from all of the upper body work and looked at her, waiting for a response.

“You got the job, sweetheart. That was amazing.” She complimented, I smiled and thanked her as she pulled me in for a hug.

“Now, we have to introduce you to the boss, he will love you.” She added.

I froze, what? He?

“What? He? As in a man?” I asked her and we walked side by side to his office.

“Yes, the boss, I am just the house matron and manager, sweetheart. I approve of your dancing but Mr. Alvarez is the one who makes the final decision.” She said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

I was starting to get nervous again* who knows what this man's intentions were and he knows a strip club for that matter. Don't judge someone before you meet them, Abigail. Show a little respect.

“You don't need to worry, he will like you.” She assured me.

“He is a little rough around the edges, a bit scary and doesn't tolerate any disrespect. But you are a nice girl, so I don't think he will have a problem with you.”

It felt like an eternity before we get a hallway excluded from the rest of the club with dimmed lights shining from the roof and walls. A brown door stood at the end of it, my palms became sweaty and I had no other choice but to wipe them on the dress as she told me I was on my own from there. She said he already knew my name and saw me dancing through the security cameras, so all I needed to do was go into his office and tell him a bit about myself, then he would tell me his decision. She told me I have to knock first before entering. I got my breath at a steady pace and calmed myself down before walking towards the scary door. The closer I get, the more the aura changes.  It felt cold, making goosebumps appear on my skin and the hair on the back of my neck stood up. The weird feeling of comfort I felt before was nothing compared to this but it made me extremely nervous at the same time. I reached the door and gently knocked, waiting for permission to enter.

“Come in,” a deep voice said.

There was no emotion in his voice, he didn't sound happy or angry, not even content. His voice was just cold, making me take a deep breath and hesitant to open the door.

“I said come on!” The voice boomed again, evidence of losing his patients laced on it. In fear of getting angry, I quickly opened the door and kept my head down, not wanting to make eye contact with him.

“Shut the door behind you, sunshine.” He added.

Sunshine? My stomach felt queasy the second I heard the nickname roll off his tongue. I obeyed, shutting the door before me gently, I couldn't bring myself to turn around no matter how much I tried to get my legs to move, they wouldn't. I felt like I was going to have a panic attack.

“Turn around or get out.” He demanded, so I turned around but didn't raise my head to look at him.

“Take a seat,” I stepped forward, taking a seat on one of the two chairs in front of his desk.

“What is your name?” He asked.

“Abigail Miller,” I replied, my head still low.

“Look at me.” He ordered.

I looked up, sitting in front of me, in a black chair was a man with the coldest blue eyes I had ever seen. He had fairly tanned skin, dark brown hair that was gelled back with a few hairs out of place, falling over his forehead. A little stubble showed on the lower half of his beautiful face, surrounding perfectly shaped lips. A quiet gasp left my mouth, he is so beautiful.

“Good girl.” He muttered. What? Did he just call me that?

“I was watching you dance through the cameras.” He said and my breath quickened as I felt his eyes burning into my skin.

“You dance beautifully.” He added.

“Thank you,” the corner of my mouth lifted at his compliments.

I finally took the opportunity to look around, surrounding us were red walls and even more dimmed lights shining over the black furniture, it was beautiful, really dark but beautiful. Behind him was another tall door, probably leading to outside or a bathroom. I turned my head to wear the security footage on multiple screens showing the inside and surrounding of the whole club. One of them shows Sonia dancing for some men and women and getting money thrown at her from all corners.

“Are you done?” His irritated voice brought me back to reality.

“I am sorry, Mr. Alvarez.” I looked back down to my lap, my fingers fiddled with each other and my knees bounced up and down.

I heard him get up from his chair and walked around the table, his shoes appearing a foot away from mine.
