A New Prison

Andre walked over to the closet to see for himself. He looked inside and just as Jay had said, there was a woman trapped inside; a young and undeniably attractive woman. She was slim yet slender. She was wearing a short white dress that exposed her beautiful legs and her long black hair rested on her shoulders, covering the cleaveage of her perky teats. She had piercing blue eyes that were fixed on Andre and he could feel the distrust coming off them. She looked scared and it made Andre loosen his posture and take off his hat and jacket, so he would look less threatening to her.

“We’re not here to hurt you. We’re here to set you free. It’s okay, you can trust me,” Andre said to her and gave her his hand.

She slowly got to her feet and reached out her hand to take his. Their hands met in the middle and he wrapped his hard fingers around her slender ones. She smiled at him and there was just something about that smile that made Andre feel something that he hadn’t felt in a long time; peace.

A smile began to form around Andre’s lips but before it could fully form, he looked down at her hand and noticed the tattoo on her wrist. It was the symbol of the King’s Gold Mafia; A gold circle with a crow in it.

Andre’s half-formed smile immediately became a frown and he tightened his grip around her wrist, causing her to gasp in fear.

“Who the fuck are you and why do you have this symbol on your hand?”

She became frightened of him and tried to pull her hand away from his grip, but he held on tighter.

“I asked you a question, damnit!”

In her desperation, she bit down on Andre’s hand and forced him to let go. She tried to run past him but he held her back and pushed her back into the room. She kicked him in the shin which made Andre raise his hand to her, but he stopped himself from hitting her.

“If you’re not going to talk here, then perhaps you will in more favourable conditions,”

He stepped out of the tiny room and gave Jay an order, “Bring her with us. We’ll question her back at the estate.”

“Let’s go, Miss,” Jay said and grabbed her waist to force her outside.

She began to struggle with him, wailing and screaming hysterically as she tried to fend him off.

“Will you stop it already?”

He didn’t notice that she had snatched his knife from its sheath until she raised it to him. She slashed at him and cut him slightly along his arm. She swung again but this time, Jay caught her hand and slapped her on the face so hard that she fainted.

Andre didn’t look impressed by what happened and Jay noticed.

“I’m sorry, boss. She was trying to kill me,” he said, trying to justify his actions.

“It’s fine. Just bring her along. Whoever this woman is, she clearly has something to do with the King’s Gold Mafia and I want to know what it is.”

Jay picked her up and carried her on his shoulder. They all left the warehouse and went back to their cars. He placed her inside the trunk while Andre entered the back seat. Jay went back into the driver’s seat, turned on the car and they all drove away.

They reached the estate and after they descended the car, Andre had to take care of something important.

“Take the girl inside and keep her in the guestroom. Have one of the guards watch her door at all times and as soon as she wakes up, let me know,”

“Yes, boss,” Jay replied and carried her inside.

Andre walked over to the back where the graves were and went over to his father’s grave. He stared at the grave with a smirk on his face, happy to finally be rid of his vicious father.

“You were the worst father in the world and I always hated you. You were cruel and you treated me more like an object than a son. I’m glad you’re dead but, I can’t deny that you did teach me a lot of important things about being the leader of this clan but I am not like you; I am better.

“I will be the greatest leader this family has ever seen and I will erase the memory of your existence. Goodbye, father,” Andre spat on his father’s grave before walking away.

Andre sat in an armchair across the bed where the strange woman with the tattoo on her wrist was sleeping. It was morning now and he was waiting for her to wake so he could interrogate her. He had waited for her to regain consciousness the previous night but she never did. Now, he would make sure to get the answers he needed.

He had his hand under his chin and was stroking his jaw, deep in thought. He was thinking of the best way to handle the situation so he could get results. He didn’t know who she was or what part she had to play in all of it, but he knew not to underestimate her importance in the bigger picture.

The King’s Gold were a deadly mafia family, almost equal in strength and numbers with the Red Cobras and they had been rivals for generations, except for one or two instances when their interests align and they collaborate. Other than that, the King’s Gold hated the Red Cobras. Their matriarch, Carolina Rossi had a reputation of being the deadliest woman alive and she wasn’t known to brand her mark on just anyone. Andre figured that if this girl had the King’s Gold symbol tattooed on her, then she must be a valuable asset to Carolina Rossi and a potential weapon for him to finally bring her and her empire crumbling down.

Should he go hard on this young woman and scare the truth out of her OR should he be courteous and treat her nicely to gain her trust and extract the information she possesses? He wasn’t sure what to do but nevertheless, he would get his answers.

The woman began to groan as she rolled around on the bed, finally waking up from her sleep. She opened her eyes and it took her a few seconds to remember what had happened to her the previous night and where she was. She quickly sat upright and noticed Andre staring at her from his seat like a hawk stalking its dinner.
