I clench my fist as they avoided my question. There's something off with this. They really know something about the situation.

I slammed the table and furiously look at them.

"I said tell me. Don't make me a fool because you three wouldn't like it." I clench my both fist which atre the above of the table.

"We have no right to tell you, bro." Levi announce directly before averting his eyes. "All I can say is that your departure and the destruction of Beatrix's innocent heart was like a deluge." I was devastated by

Levi's words. I calm down, knowing that he will continue to speak. I furrowed my eyebrows as I waited for him but Kai is the next one who speaks.

"All of us here feel the pain you bought during those times but we have no right to tell you exactly what happened but as Levi said – you caused a deluge in her life." Kai looked at Joe, "except for Joe who came with you to propose to the woman you're looking for."

"Stupid, it didn't start the day Van left but about four months after he left so basically I am here." Joe even stared at Kai but I couldn't help but laugh because I was thinking deeply. What happened to you Beatrix.

'I will admit to you Van that I was angry with you because Bea seemed to be a friend to me when we were still in college. We were there bro when you broke her last smile. You torture yourself Van just to figure out the answer to these three. Didn't you notice that you were being cheated on?" I looked up and there I saw Jane.

'You're serious, sweetheart. Can't we torture Van first? " I frowned at what Levi said. "Fuck!" He groaned as I kick on him under the table.

"Asshole."

"Like you, nah." He even shook his head. 'Why? What we told you is true, bro. We didn't just say everything because you are the one who has to discover with your own eyes. Maybe we can even imitate what you did to Zach. " I hissed and got out of my seat before I started to walk but I stopped mid way when Jane spoke again.

'I know it's not just the first time you've saved Beatrix, Van. This is the second time that happened in college and as a friend of hers, I want you to save her again from misery before your brother can even find her. " I was stunned and turned back to Jane when she said that.

"What has Gian got to do with this?"

"Yes!" Simultaneous question of three. That means they have no idea why my brother was involved.

'It's either you get an investigator or you will ask Zacharie for everything. He's waiting for you, Van. Investigate or ask Zacharie. You have two choices, Van. " I stared at Jane for a few more minutes to read her mind but I couldn't get what I wanted so I turned around again.

I went to the company and signed the papers that were important and really needed my signature. I was in the middle of signing the papers when Beatrix's innocent smiles entered my mind. The surprises she made for me when I got her to be my girlfriend annoyed Zach because I knew he had feelings for Beatrix that day. I invited her to be my girlfriend for my own sake. Zacharie is always right about me hitting two birds with one stone. I use Beatrix to make Zach feel the hurt of betrayal and I use her to be close with Anika and impress her.

We became sweethearts a week before I found out that our family had agreed to get married and at the same time Anika left without warning so I was very angry with Beatrix until we got married and I still treated her the same way. I got back from reality when there was a knocking sound from outside my office.

"Come in." My secretary Angelo came in but she said it was just Angela so I was just shaken my head.

"Sir handsome, these are the snacks you bought."

"Just leave it there, Gela."

"My pleasure."

I waited for him to come out before shaking. I gasped as I remembered those days. To dispel those thoughts, I continued what I was doing without realizing that it was eleven o'clock in the evening so the building was quiet. I unpacked my belongings before rushing out of the office. All I knew was that they were closing now so I drove to the restaurant.

From a distance I saw Beatrix hurrying to close the restaurant. I knew she was that because of her figure. Maybe she was the last to leave the restaurant. I parked my car in front of her where she was waiting for a ride.

I open the door and bow my head a little to see her. "Get in."

'No need, sir. I'm just going to ride a…tricycle. " I touched the bridge of my nose in annoyance but I controlled it.

'No, I insist. Come in, " she shook his head. She's still stubborn as ever,

'no need–"

'Who is your boss? I don't let my employees be in danger because it might affect the image of my business." I could think of no way but to scare him which seemed to work.

"Where should I…"

"At the house of… Levi." My forehead furrowed because of what she said but I still operated the car. What will she do to Levi's house? I knew her friend was there but it was impossible for her to visit at this time. Soon we arrived at Levi's house. She looked at me before heading out.

"T-Thank you, sir." Even before I could speak, she came down as if in a hurry. I saw Levi and Kai outside and met Beatrix so I went downstairs so they could look at me.
