Chapter 29

"You are model material Royalty."Neveah said "You'll make a good street model."

"Everyone says that." I said to her "You brother and the others too but I don't see myself doing something so..... cool."

"Try." Neveah encouraged me "Have confidence. I know about your previous life in Miami and I'm saying forget the shit back there and move on. This could be a chance to become someone. Take a chance."

"I don't know." I shyly said

"Give it a try and you'll see." Neveah said "There's more to you then that quiet shy girl who had a hard life. Now's your chance to live in luxury and be somebody. I'll help you as much as I can."

"Thanks a bunch!" I said hugging Neveah

I could actually be somebody. Maybe it won't be such a bad idea.

"Why were you always alone?" I asked remembering the kitchen incident

"Well..." Neveah answered softly "Both my brothers were always busy in the mafia and I was sent away to a foreign country to study so I hardly saw them. I felt lonely without them and I never really had friends. You're the first person I shopped with like this and talked openly to."

"Me too." I said then held out my hand "Let's be friends."

"We already are." She answered shaking hands with me "Those heels will go good with the gold shirt and black jeans you bought."

"Take the blue instead of the green." I said handing the shoes to one of the body guards who put it back into the box and added it to the pile we had on the cashier's desk "You have a blue tube top not a green one otherwise take a blue-green pair so you have both colors."

"Alright." Neveah said "Size eight aqua-green."

The attendant went off and searched for what we wanted and I looked at another pair of shoes.

"Take the wedges instead of plain heels." Neveah suggested then said the last part sarcastically "Heaven knows what possessed the builders to build so many dam stairs in the mansion!"

I laughed and the eight guards with us chuckled and shook their heads. The attendant came back with the shoes and Neveah tried it one. I took out the other pair of the sand colored wedges and tried it on. I then got up and walked and struck a pose.

"Perfect model!" Neveah clapped "You don't walk Royalty...you model. I realized that."

"Grazie." I shrugged "I'll take this pair and the other seven too. How much?"

"$600." the attendant answered

Neveah and I just shopped then asked the cost afterwards. I bought a few high top converses in different colors then we went home with our hands filled with shopping bags.

Xavier's POV

We were sitting down eating lunch in the kitchen when we heard the front door open and Neveah and Reign laughing. The body guards came in and announced their safe return and I dismissed them. We then went out to meet the two girls. I saw Neveah first. Her hair was now mid-back and the tips were curlier than usual. She seemed really happy for the first time. I saw Royalty after. She had cut her hair and all I saw was a shoulder length mass of curls and waves gelled into a Mohawk. She looked really cute.

"What did you do to your hair?" Geovanni asked pulling one of Royalty's curls

"I cut it back natural." Royalty answered shyly "Is it that bad?"

"No." Cristiano said pulling a curl too "It's really cute. It suits you too."

Fel blushed a little. Jianan appeared with his hands filled with files.

"You cut your hair?!" he exclaimed dropping the files and going over to Royalty "Why?"

"I wanted my hair back natural." Royalty replied

"It's....AMAZING!!!" Neveah exclaimed "You look so cute!"

The guards then came in with handfuls of shopping bags and we all dropped our jaws and Neveah and Rei laughed at us.

"You bought the whole mall?" I asked opening one of the bags and pulling out a box of white wedges "My poor credit card!"

The others roared with laughter at my facial expression when I opened the rest of bags and pulled out more shoes!

Geez...typical girls! At least I could see Royalty laugh for the first time.

I got up the next morning to the piercing brilliant sunlight. I groaned as I rolled out of bed. I brushed me teeth not giving a rat's tail to my wild hair but going downstairs for something to eat. I was hungry. I walked into the kitchen where the boys were eating pancakes with Hinako and making her laugh like mad.

"Look what the sun brought up." Jianan teased me "Bad hair day already."

"Jianan shut up the fried tuna up and leave me alone." I yawned and the boys laughed "I'm too lazy to fix my hair and I'm hungry."

"Here." Xavier said holding out a forkful of pancake to me.

I hesitated and raised an eyebrow at him.

Should I? Should I not? To do or not to do? Alright I will.

I blushed red and then went over and took the pancake off his fork and chewed slowly.

Wow! That's the best pancakes I've ever tasted!

"It tastes good." I said swallowing

He held up another forkful for me and I held on to his wrist and he peeled off my fingers.

"No hands." he said slyly

"Eh! Why?" I wailed like Hinako did when she wanted a biscuit

"Because I said so." Xavier teased me and I pouted but took the mouthful from him.

"Here." Cristiano said handing me a plate with two pancakes with syrup dribbled neatly over it "Don't let Xavier spoil you."

I took the plate and stuck my tongue out at Xavier as I sat down and he laughed and shook his head.

"What are you boys doing for the day?" I asked through a mouthful

"Work." Jianan answered scrolling through his phone then he looked up at me "Do you have a phone or something?"
