When Catherine was eight years old she believes she almost drowned. 

But, that is not really what happened. 

Catherine was abducted by Caspian, the future King of the Kelpie Colony. However, he was sabotaged and his coming of age ceremony was interrupted, meaning he lost his mate.

Twelve years later, he has found her at last, both of them fully grown and completely drawn to one another.
