Livy's POV

Friday morning.

I woke up to the sound of Mom's footsteps running up the stairs. She burst into my room without knocking, holding a newspaper in her shaking hands.

"Livy. Livy, have you seen this?"

I sat up and took the paper from her. The Riverton Gazette, our tiny town's weekly news...
