I got to chapter 79 and gave up. it started off fine, though the main character is completely unlikable, but I pressed on. somewhere between chapters 30 and 40 (if I remember correctly) the writing completely changed and the quality plummeted. it went from fine to it sounding like it was written by someone who speaks English as a second language. which is fine, but editing, at least a little, matters. there was just a mistake where one of the characters says something and after the quotation…
