Chapter 20 Fire

Devlin’s P.O.V.

I hold Mackenzie’s hand as I point my gun at the door.  The knocking stops, but I don’t believe whoever it is is gone.

“Devlin, it’s me. Open up,” Lucky says from the other side.  

“Are you alone?”  I ask before approaching the door.

“Yes, but you need to hurry and let me in....
